  1. Moore was the #1 problem with the TE passing game. He is almost useless in coverage. It was a bad choice to move him to off ball LB, because he doesn't possess the instincts for the position after primarily playing the edge for his career. However, Taafe was easily the worst defensive player on the field in the 1st half, since he's come back from injury he has been in wrong place and the wrong time frequently.
  2. Well, what has Cruz shown to be given the job? Supposedly he's looking more like another Flood bust than being what we all hoped he could be.
  3. We are also losing Robertson at center. Texas shouldn't trust a single interior HS OL take by Flood at this point.
  4. Yeah, his wife isn't happy at all and she is a major distraction from his job on and off the field.
  5. I am sorry year 5 and things are coming off the rails, that is not a positive sign. Then when you look back at what Sarkisian was hired to bring with him, he has underachieved in every season as the OC. Sarkisian the HC would have already fired Sarkisian the OC, or at least I would hope that he would, because Sarkisian the OC is not getting it done. At some point you have to realize the data is clear that this isn't the first season expectations were not met. If he course corrects and hires an OC while firing Banks, Flood, and Milwee then I will believe he's ready to fix the problems. If he sticks with the status quo, get used to the current season results because like aggy our first season in the SEC might be our best for quite some time. And I haven't even mentioned that Texas is still one of the most penalized teams in college football.
  6. Sorry, no coach earns any benefit of the doubt in the NIL era. He has one of the highest paid rosters in college football, and has managed to run that roster into the ground. Sorry, I don't care about two semi-final appearences where your side of the ball looked like crap and your inability to run the football has basically cost you every close game you have played in the last two seasons. Texas thought we finally hired a real offensive force, but the results show that isn't true at all.
  7. Give it up, it's not happening. You can't say you deserve the playoff after losing to Florida and getting pants at Georgia. We have looked like a mediocre team for most every game, and the defense is finally breaking down because the offense and STs is an abysmal joke. We have played 10 games, so 20 halves of football. We have played complimentary football in two of those halves. OU and Vanderbilt. 2 out of 20. That's not a playoff team.
  8. He should be pissed at himself because the failure of this season is clearly on him and him alone. There needs to be fundamental changes to the way he and his team approaches things and if doesn't make those changes he will be gone in 2 years. These changes are both on and off the field.
  9. Man do we need shooters. Wilcher turned it on late, but one point deep into the 2H our 4 guards had combined to score 12 points.
  10. I think Franklin is an absolute HR hire for Virgina Tech.
  11. That's not technically true. The top 5 conference champs get a guaranteed spot. ACC is so bad this year, their conference champion may be behind the American and JMU. In that case, the ACC would be left out. I don't think anyone ever dreamed of a scenario where a P4 champion could be behind two G5 champs, but here we are.
  12. Harlem Berry would be the guy we need to target. Our RB depth chart is going to look really bad once Wisner goes pro. Baxter may never be the same, Simon doesn't scare me, and Cooper is going to be a true freshman.
  13. Young and inexperienced against a veteran Vanderbilt offense will lead to a lot of big plays. We really need Taafe, McDonald, and Muhammed to get well over these next two weeks for the final three game stretch run.
