    Separating this from the 10-2 bargain thread was savvy! I'm personally all in for an undefeated season. SP+ at 9 wins feels bearish! 10-2 is what to take to Vegas. I like that the FPI table also includes chances of going undefeated to calibrate exuberance. A 9% chance is pretty reassuring to me! SP+ would curb that enthusiasm a bit but then we can explain away preseason data 😎

    P.s.s. I'd like to bubble wrap some guys Oct 15-Nov 1. Basically, the SEC title game is the ONLY game we can shrug off after that.

    Like it? No. Take it if still means CFP and especially with a championship at the end? Every time, yes! Take it and fall short? That depends on the momentum Arch carries into '26.... 10-2 despite key injuries and losing by a fg in the nat'l championship with bad referree calls > 12-0 followed by a SEC title game turd vs say, Bama or LSU, and then an early cfp exit. P.s. I'd rank the desire to win these games like this: Georgia, A&M, OSU, OU, Florida. Losing to Florida and OU would be the best 10-2 scenario but BOYYYYY would we all be in a meltdown headed to Lexington.

    Love the reruns, but hoping the next championship release drops soon! Then, 20 years from now, it will be fun to see if we still watch 06 as the most iconic game ever - its quite possible that it will still be the case!

    If I'm understanding this - a sponsored business nil deal has the review burden, but, a direct payment from a collective is exempt? Or the collective passes money through the school? As a real world example - I've seen speculation that Felix signed Techs deal before July 1 with half paid by Tech and half by TBD, but haven't seen it confirmed. So assuming he signed after the 1st, now he doesn't have to worry about justifying the value of the TBD source?

    Interesting, he didn't say to NOT put a fence around the state, but I'm not sure we can credibly say that and still recruit over a top instate player (which absolutely needs to be on the table). More than that, "the best stay in Texas" line, which I love, seems to have been flipped around by guys wanting to spread their wings and wallets - just a reality. Gotta fight fire with fire. Last thing: we're taking advantage of Florida schools being down, and are plucking kids out of Georgia, Bama, and LSUs back yards - but can't make headway in SoCal or regularly tap someone from Az?! Doesn't make sense!

    Thinking about it, at Bama he might have been in the press box and oblivious to it. Then at the game, they are subdued and he's locked in, so maybe it truly didn't register. I'm good with him ignoring it either way! And I appreciate Sankey addressing it just on merit.

    I wish mods would quit reinforcing the idea that a top x class is an annual goal when it's just a metric. Recruiting rankings are an industry invention - not a measure of meeting roster needs or avoiding reaching for players. All it shows is that sucky programs can volume recruit 4 stars. I'd value a regular OTF position group grade A-F (or Inc) more.

    Especially breaking down the opponent rather than pointing out too many of our own hidden warts to the opponents GAs!

    I'll go back to my main one - clip up the shows into snackable segments like Klatt does. You've got the best content but I don't have an hour daily to watch. Hopefully boosted views and engagement offsets the costs.
