  1. Curious to get the mods thoughts on the evolution of Sark’s offense. Time will tell, but it feels like in the biggest games we get out-schemed. Almost like Sark doesn’t change things up enough and more so relies on having more talent than the other team. Appears that some defensive-minded coaches have figured out how to prepare for this offense. Will be curious to see how Florida and OU play out.
  2. For sure. I just never felt Mosley was on the same level as the other guys they’ve gotten in past years. We will see.
  3. I understand culture concerns with some of them, but they had a very clear recipe for success in the WR room in getting a difference maker or two from the portal and letting other guys develop. They went away from that this year. We’ll see if they were correct in due time. I personally think not, but will be happy to eat crow. Add Barrion Brown to that list.
  4. Thamel reported it was a hamstring for EM. Hoping they can get him in one of these games before Florida.
  5. Personally I don’t think so. Really like him. I think it’s that they’ve lost recruitments on the big difference makers (DK Moore) and did not reload in the portal this year. I know they like developing HS guys but they have to go get skill guys in the portal each year. Every year they’ve done it, they’ve produced high round draft picks. Stick to that recipe.
  6. No offense to Parker Livingston here. But when he’s your WR3 it’s not a good endorsement of the state of the room. They had every opportunity to get guys and chose not to. If the room ends up being poor, it’s on the staff.
  7. Nobody asked about red zone. Awesome. Great job by the media.
  8. And only having 4 receivers ready when you had an entire offseason is on nobody but this staff. From an evaluation and preparation perspective.
  9. Agree. Very bad sign. They needed to get more experience in the portal and made a mistake relying on a bunch of unprovens. I’m pretty convinced of that.
  10. Can someone please ask about red zone? How has nobody asked?
  11. I’ve been asking this question. I don’t think there are game changers on this offense. I will wait for it to play out but I don’t believe a trio of Wingo, Moore, and Livingstone is going to be good enough (add Mosley to that if he gets healthy). Always disagreed with the decision to go after guys who had more size and less speed this year. Get why we did it, but personally didn’t like it when there were so many explosive options in the portal. We’ll see how it goes.
  12. I’m going to keep saying this until proven otherwise. I believe the staff took the wrong approach this offseason believing in a bunch of unproven guys. Even Wingo is not proven. Obviously you can’t account for Mosley being hurt, but I’m not sure how explosive he is. It’s a little weird to me how the staff is more so prioritizing size over speed at the position lately. There was Zachariah Branch, Barrion Brown, KC Conception, etc in the portal and all are fairly explosive. We’ll see how it plays out, but I don’t love the weapons on offense.
  13. Is it common for college coaches to seek outside help with executing in the RZ? Is this an ego thing for Sark? I don’t get it.
  14. Nobody talking about this but I tend to agree. I am not sold on our playmakers on offense. I know it’s early, but our staff is essentially relying on a bunch of unproven guys hitting. I don’t agree with that approach. There were plenty of capable WRs in the portal they could have taken that could thrive in this offense. Wingo needs to prove it. His route running and contested catch ability has been lackluster. Moore is good, but not elite. He is who he is. Everyone else is a question mark. Wisner is a good back, not elite. Baxter will take time. No home run threats there.
