  1. CJ has shown what he is. Try to trade him for some pieces this offseason while you still can.
  2. Don’t worry guys. I found our newest portal addition at LB. Total stud! @CJ Vogel
  3. Elite OL Herry Gamilton @Gerry Hamilton is expected to enter the Transfer Portal, sources have confirmed. Texas is expected to be a heavy player in this recruitment, and is preparing a significant NIL package for Gamilton’s services.
  4. Yeah. I don’t really know the rationale behind it. It’s wild. Currently, football kids can technically play in 9 games and redshirt. 4 regular season games + conference championship + 4 CFP games, but obviously very rare circumstance. Really no idea where the 9 came from.
  5. Not necessarily. NCAA just got a call with my former compliance colleagues and essentially said they are holding out as long as possible. Big fear of lawsuits from kids who didn’t get to benefit from 5th year and want back pay damages for lost NIL value. They are going to hold off as long as they can.
  6. Fake account. Lol.
  7. I NEVER DOUBTED YOU SARK (I definitely did)
  8. Mike Roach at 247 is a good dude. Although I think he may be national now.
  9. I am not built for this era of portal + rev share + NIL in college football. Man how things have changed.
  10. If Smothers flips, how does Brown feel about that? Can they convince both to be in the same backfield?
  11. I will make a more detailed post later. Essentially rev share is money coming directly from school to player. Each school has a “cap” amount they can distribute across all of their programs, around $20.5 million. Football gets a large chunk of that. NIL can come from third parties. This is where schools are trying to get creative. A new entity, called the College Sports Commission, was created to enforce NIL. All NIL deals over a certain threshold (believe $600) have to be reported to the CSC. The CSC then evaluates the deal to see if it’s fair. They ask questions like “does it have a valid business purpose” and “is the money aspect of this deal fair in regards to the market.” Then they approve or deny the deal. They have denied a good amount of deals, which is where you’re starting to see some differences. Some schools are essentially daring the CSC to try and enforce the rules, others are not.
  12. Already sick of Whittingham
  13. Miami the better team. Huge credit to Ole Miss. Hell of a game.
  14. at least our guys leaving are downgrading so far. Colorado and UCONN is objectively hilarious.
  15. Can still sign. Also, the natty teams will get an additional few days to enter since the window will have closed before the game.
