  1. With our rising GPA (higher than my Texas GPA for sure!) and "clean" program that is performing at a consistently high pace and widely admired, you think he'd have to be on any short list of this kind.
Regardless of expectations of him as a coach coming in, not sure anyone could have anticipated he's run "the whole show." No one else I'd rather have than Sark right now across all those categories.

The TCU-Georgia title game should’ve told the country all it needed to know about the difference in the LOS talent between the two conferences.

The SEC and Big Ten are so far ahead of the other conferences because of LOS talent.

And its so great that Texas is finally, finally consistently playing in this sandbox, instead of a one off year here or there when the stars align...

I do agree that Endries is a good call for Texas.
Arch did an interview at MPA and said as much, then almost was like I wasn't supposed to say anything, like it was the plan going in to OSU to unleash a can of Endries on them. Maybe I read to much into it, but regardless, the trio of Wingo > Endries > Wisner at levels in the offense is going to be dynamic I think and Endries is a good call for a monster year imo.

    Hill(2), Simmons(4) and Taaffe(14) on defense

    Arch(16) only Longhorn on offense

Thinking Arch is better than the 4th best QB in SEC.   Time will tell. Also, thinking our trio of experienced receivers (Wingo, Mosley, Moore) will prove to be far better than low pre-season ratings.

They're about to find out about our Offense....

I'm buying stock in our receiver rooms big time, especially Wingo, and think our TEs will be a surprise as well. I understand why both might not make these kinds of pre-season lists, but I'm pretty sure the list looks different on that side of the ball by end of the year.

  5. I have no problem w/ kids chasing bags, getting the best deal they can, but, at least to me, it isn't a good look when it becomes their personality to the point of their online name, chains, etc... kid looks really good, would be excited to get, but want the right kids too, right culture and fit, and they may find they overplay their hand chasing nickels... screams future portal to me as well...

You have to wonder what recruits/parents/insiders think when they see some of this "expert" picking and what not, and wonder how much they manipulate it on purpose to whatever end...
Also, whether bad or unwanted info/picks has ever sabotaged a commitment...

Is it even loop holes? It seems more like swiss cheese full of holes. FMV is the most unprovable thing in all this NIL. Deloitte trying to limit NIL value arbitrarily is going to be met with law suits from the jump. SCOTUS already warned NCAA that they cannot limit NIL.

This. I think some schools are betting on the fact that nothing is enforceable or defensible. You can pretty much do anything right now, the landscape is moving too quickly for any kind of normalcy to settle in. And with effectively no governing body, no actionable enforcement, who's going to object or block any school's strategy at this point? Even if they do, it will take longer to play out in the courts than the repercussions of the original action. So playing by the rules is effectively self-handicapping at this point... its kind of a joke, sadly...

    1. Dia Bell – Texas

Dia Bell put together one of the cleanest workouts I’ve recently seen at an Elite 11 Regional. He has textbook arm action. The ability to efficiently get the ball up and out is outstanding. Bell is one of the cleanest throwers in the 2026 cycle, whether in the pocket or on the move. He has such an excellent feel for touch and places the ball only where his receivers can catch it. He’s not just hitting pass catchers in the chest; he’s leading them to the open space. Not to mention, he’s just as accurate on the move as he is within the pocket. The footwork is terrific, everything is within his framework, and he ties his upper and lower halves together to generate power on every throw. Bell doesn’t necessarily have a bazooka, but his football cuts through the wind and is on time consistently. He has plenty of arm to make every single throw that could be asked of him on the field, and he was able to push the ball vertically despite some strong winds in his face. He has every opportunity to walk out of the Elite 11 Finals as the top passer at the event. – On3 National Scout Cody Bellaire"

  9. Nice vids from a Wingo camp in StL that Manning and Simmons and some other players went to.
Great to see the camaraderie among the key players as well, supporting each other.
There was another clip where the registration desk asks Manning his name to register... "uh, Manning..." lol.
