    I am interested in that as well. No one on the inside has said the defense is bad but everyone reiterates the need for a DT. It is hard to tell right now but I worry we will have some shoot outs next year. Hoping some of it is simply the defense not being able to touch the QBs etc.

    I think that will be a major advantage for Sark. He also is very aware that too much communication is detrimental. Sark has gotten a lot of praise from opposing coaches for the difficulty in coaching against him. This gives him a lot more input helping his signal callers see the game in real time.

    Sanders is a bit of a surprise. I do not like to speculate but it does not seem like he has put in the same work as the other prospects. Injury?

    Funny enough he was the one whose tape stood out to me as well. High motor.

    Not a ton of tape but seems to have good pad level, good get off and stays with the play.

    Looking at the way some of the coaching changes have occurred, Grubb to the Seahawks and Harbaugh to the Chargers, the universities have really done everything they can to hobble the players with the transfer portal. I completely understand that sh!t happens but both of those 2 moves timing has been outed as being manipulated to force players to stay. I expect to see more of these type of shenanigans in the future. I would have loved us to clean up some D lineman from the fallout but I am saying that in the players defense.

    He is a very upright runner despite the height. Seems to have some breakaway speed but what stands out to me is 1. The speed doesn't gas out on long runs and 2. He doesn't lose any speed with change of direction or cuts. Very effortless running.

    Very accurate statement. This one has me scratching my head, but only because I have no idea what to really think about it.

    I dislike being negative, I think Bo Davis did a lot for this program, but in a Mack Brown fashion he left us in a hole. He did not recruit consistently well and his late flip really hurt us in the moment. I do have faith that, as much as fans want instant gratification, Sark will find the right longterm solution. Even if it means a slight decline this year. We have positioned ourselves to be more balanced on defense and the heavy hitters at linebacker can take up some of the run slack. I am not saying we will see sub 100 yd rushing averages. But we can compete and win with what we have. It won't always be pretty, but neither was this year. Just different reasons.
