Given everything that's gone down the past two weeks, it looks like Sark is somewhat emulating Cignetti's approach.

It has to be the most remarkable story I've witnessed in my ~40 years of closely following sports. I hope Michael Lewis is already working on the book, because this is 10X more unlikely than Billy Beane's story. None of it makes sense. I heard Diamonte Tucker-Dorsey on the radio this week discussing his time with Cignetti at JMU.. They seem to be the most disciplined football team I've ever seen, yet Tucker-Dorsey says Cignetti is not a big fan of practice. Or culture. It's just football. How does a coach eschew full-contact practices and only lose one fumble in 15 games? It just makes no sense.

We have far more than 8 days to fill roster spots. 1/16 is the deadline to enter the portal, not deadline to sign players. There will be signings for weeks after.

Jan 20th is "officially" the last day that students can add a class at UT for Spring enrollment. However, I remember Silas Bolden was well beyond that when he finally got all of his paperwork in order, so there are exceptions. Furthermore, who's to say anyone would miss Spring conditioning or Spring practice if they're not enrolled for Spring? At this point, who is going to do anything about it?

I read something years ago about the Air Raid. I know Riley isn't running the AirRaid per se, but he was steeped in that tradition. It's not merely an offensive system, it's a philosophy of football based on offensive reps and it's not conducive to sound defensive play. USC looks to have some impressive athletes on defense, but I agree, it will be interesting to see if he they can play competent defense.
