Love the write up, like usual Jeff. My problem is, I'll believe it when I see it.

I like Kiffin as an offensive mind but boy does he create drama everywhere he goes. The guy loves drama. It's like he hasn't learned a thing in his career full of constant flops at blue bloods. Match that with the bs that goes on with LSU, you got yourselves one hell of a sh*t show. I doubt they'll kick LSU out of the conference but they should 100% be severely punished.

I think he's also underestimating having a brand new OL in front of him. He has good WR weapons, that is certain. But a new playcaller who's never called plays. I don't know much about their RB room, Reuben Owens is good, right? Not sure what they returned on their D either. But he's going to either be running more or under more pressure this year. We'll see how he does.

They have talent but maybe two games on their schedule are going to give them some sort of game. Miami is a definite (imo) and SMU has a chance to give their defense fits. Apart from that none of these other teams are going to have a chance, imo.

I also think that the NIL and transfer portal have encouraged kids to not develop and wait. Too many kids think they need to play now. I hope with 5 for 5 that will simmer down a little. That you have 5 years to develop and play. Because the NFL will either chew you up and spit you out or you'll be well prepared for it.

I don't think we appreciated what a steady influence Hayden Connor was at LG until he left for the NFL draft. Cam Williams not coming back for 2025 was a bad decision but that's just my take. I know he wanted to get to the league asap but I think he was very premature in jumping there with only one year starting. Considering he had injury issues and penalty issues, he probably could've used another year of development. Not saying he would've been a 1st rounder but he definitely wouldn't have been a 7th rounder.
