  1. Let's hope he finishes the season stronger than Uncle Eli lol.
  2. This years team could look the same and his poor play would still be a problem. I'm not on team bench him, but he needs to put it together because he is bringing this offense down. Yes t here are other elements not doing their part, but he has been the most surprising and disappointing part of it so far.
  3. But he's already played against a great Ohio State OL? I don't think it's jumping the gun. There is a lot of season left, but he's been playing well, so far.
  4. I'm not off team Arch, but he definitely needs to figure it out and show it in a game. I'm of the belief he'll get it going and maybe that is when all the other experienced guys get back. But he needs to stop missing easy/simple passes/reads. That is what is killing us right now. I don't want to see him benched, I want to see him work through his issues but it's been the same thing for 3 straight games. We can blame the talent around him but we were told this is a talented roster, top 5 in the country. Not so sure I would agree about the offensive side of the ball. At least not so far. I'm hoping the O can turn it around but my optimism seems to squished every game.
  5. I was listening to the Coaches speak on this yesterday, I think it was. Coach Erwin and Coach Shipley. Both seemed concerned about the OL, which is natural given the performance but the development is a concern, too. Considering we were lead to believe that this was Coach Flood's strong suit.
  6. Thanks for reminding me of that, sometimes I think I should go back and watch these games to job my memory a bit more. Yes losing that does hurt but you'd think the guys we have stepping up would be playing a lot better. Considering 2 of the 3 have a ton of starting snaps. Another saw live action against some tough teams last year, etc. Just my opinions anyway, they don't mean much in the grand scheme of things. I'm still reserving my full judgement till the end of the year but so far they have been inconsistent and unimpressive up front. As for losing Blue, I do agree with you there but doesn't that once again come back to recruiting? Why did Coach Choice and Coach Sark not do a better job there? None of the guys he recruited are speedsters, especially considering you're taking two per class while Choice was here. As you said, we should see steady improvement but I've just noticed the same things over the years. I was trying to be optimistic in game 1 when they played pretty well but the last couple of games against weaker competition they fell apart, wildly. We'll see.
  7. I didn't realize he was a Sr, if he has a great year in 2025, I'd expect he'll flirt with the NFL, as he should.
  8. Really? That's a shame, if he does continue to have a good year, he likely is gone.
  9. We'll see, I'm not sure what he is, a JR or what? Either way, Kenny Baker is a damn wizard. I feel like an idiot worrying about that hire when it first came to light. Sark needs to find someone to do the same at OL lol (sorry i couldn't help myself).
  10. It's part of the whole NIL/transfer portal. Not a fan of how it's set up, but I'm fine with NIL and all that but the free for all it's become is just stupid.
  11. I'm not paying Lagway anything, imo. Dude's not that good of a QB. He just threw 5 picks and has been pretty average to start the year. Miami would be crazy to throw money at him.
  12. I'm not so much worried about our D holding up against their O, as I am about our O sh*tting the bed in that game and moving forward.
  13. I'll wait until Oklahoma plays a team with a pulse before I give them their flowers. They've played Illinois State, a crap Michigan team and Temple.
  14. I'm honestly surprised by how good their OL is, I really underestimated Miami this year.
  15. I didn't really see the OL dominate the LOS in those games, but we ran so much against Texas A&M because Ewers wasn't able to do much in the passing game, if my memory serves me correctly. I also understand this is a relatively new OL but Hutson has started over the previous 3 years, so has Campbell. Stroh is in his 3rd year, so is Goosby. Baker is in his 2nd, so I can excuse him a bit more than the others. Even Neto is in his 4th year like Hutson and Campbell. I'm holding my judgement till the end of the season. Right now I'm just noticing patterns continue to emerge, that's all.
