  1. Here we are Gerry. My all time favorite game. Kobe for 48 and 16 on 13 May 2001 against the Kings at 22 years old. Followed by the 45 against Duncan, Robinson and the Spurs in Game 1 of the WCF. Nothing like it today.
  2. Greatest basketball from a 22 year old. Gerry what say you?
  3. Are you guys going to explain what's happening here?
  4. What's going on with member pay stuff?
  5. Bobby, what's going on here. I thought this was no money?
  6. Finebaum alluded to it talking to Michael Bratton on That SEC Podcast. A couple of weeks ago, Ikard said he didn't think the administration would be willing to stick with the current situation if the Zeros won less than eight. Venables has recruited well, but he's losing the portal. Apparently, he allowed himself to get buffaloed by Arnold, which sent Gabriel to Oregon. That and the O-line portal over NIL stuff seems to have the criminal interlopers from north of the Red River thinking Venables has too much Dabo in him when it comes to the way rosters must be managed now. I'd say it comes down to this: Venables allowed Gabriel to walk so he could keep Arnold, thinking he'd be better off in two years. Some linemen wanted to be cut in on the Arnold type deal, but Venables told them no. Administrators are saying that's all well and good, but you don't have two-three more years. We can't lose five to six games in the SEC the next couple of years while the Longhorns are making the playoff. That's a hole we might not climb out of for a long time. Truth is changing coaches won't pull them out of that hole quicker. If they do pull the plug on Venables, they're saying they don't think he can do it over the long haul.
  7. Recently a couple of media sources said they've heard the Sooners are going to can Venables if they don't win at least eight games this season. That seems like a predetermined sacrifice given their offensive line, RB and QB problems. That being the case, they must be blaming those situations on Venables' roster management. I wonder who they think they can get that will be much better.
  8. Gerry, we suck. When Alabama makes the Final Four ahead of Texas, we've been knocked for a loop.
  9. I've watched the NBA playoffs live since 1979 when I was seven. I've watched the Celtics, Lakers, and Nicks teams on video from the late 50s onward. My favorite all time team is the 1985 Lakers. I stand by the 2001 Lakers as the best. I would go with the 1986 Celtics as second. 1996 Bulls as third.
  10. Someone asked me what I think is good basketball. I'll say the best basketball I've ever seen was by the 2001 Lakers in May-June 2001. Specifically, their run through the Western Conference playoffs with eleven wins and no losses is the best stretch basketball I've ever seen. They ran a real offense (not just dribble and shoot like you have now) and played excellent defense. Portland, Sacramento, and San Antonio weren't just good, they were all excellent teams. The Lakers had time off before the Finals and took a couple of games to get back on track against the 76ers. Kobe saved the title by hitting a 30 foot three pointer to send game two to OT after a first game loss. He should have been the MVP of the playoffs and the regular season. He was still fighting against negative media nonsense at that point in his career, but his performance against the Kings and Spurs that year was unbelievable. When you realize he was 21 at that time, it was incredible. He was clearly the best player in the world, but the media was hell bent on dissing him. They gave the regular season MVP to Iverson and Finals MVP to Shaq. Pure BS. Nothing these days compares.
  11. I'll bet 20k JJ McCarthy sucks.
  12. I don't know why JJ McCarthy is moving up. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'd rather have Jayden Daniels. Michigan criminals seem to get everything because they are criminals.
  13. I guess Terry's actions tell us he wants his guys to work through things, and he hopes showing confidence in them will pay off in the long run. Even so, it's hard to see how you do that in an elimination game.
  14. Let's see. Smack talk is that Terry is an idiot and Longhorns lose big. Gerry pulls numbers that don't matter when it comes to real teams.
  15. Michael Fasusi, OT, Lewisville (Texas) High OnTexasFootball ranking: 5-star Official visit schedule: Texas A&M June 14-16, Texas June 21-23 Gerry, should we read anything into the lack of an OV for the Sooners at this point? I'm hoping.
  16. Jesus. I don't think I'm wrong the Longhorns being in trouble, but I just told you I think you know more.
  17. I want to make it clear that Gerry knows much more than me. That said, I'd bet my bottom dollar Gerry, you know much more than me. I'm not denying that. That said, I don't think we're going anywhere in the tournament. Doesn't matter. I'll ride you with you and OTF any day. Thanks for working hard for us.
  18. I'm not LOLing, but I hope you're right. We're really inconsistent. You throw up numbers. We'll probably get our ass kicked the next game. Terry has no offense. We make threes every once on a while. Won't get us anywhere. We don't run an offense. We throw around and suck. If we did this in football everyone would be hunting for scalps. Chirp that.
  19. Gerry thinks we're wonderful on offense so it's all great. Don't matter that he's playing numbers that don't matter. We're great. Let's go celebrate!
  20. You got that right. Goobers have been getting on me for pointing this out. The Neils of the world will go on until they can't. Which will be the first round.
