Uh yeah - see the second half of my last sentence.
Well, we have not been at full strength since the second day of fall practice (and down 2 after one week), so lamenting aggie RB injuries in week 11 seems pretty meh to me. But yeah, if we could magically have a 100% healthy RB room for all 11 weeks, I'd sign up for it.

Sucks for them. Honestly, I don't like to see it. You want to see them at full strength and us at full strength for our matchup.
IDGAF about their RB issues. Texas has been playing the whole year without Baxter and Clark. Blue and Wisner have both been dinged for chunks of time this year as well. Ryan Niblett had to be moved to play some RB. Even our last minute SMU transfer has missed several games.
I'd agree with you if there was some fairy dust available that could make Baxter and Clark available, but there isn't. Their recent injuries just serves to make the RB problems similar for both teams.

Do y’all think Sark exhibited some hubris coming into this game? Spent time on Gameday, sat with Pat McAfee and gave him a FAFO tank top, etc. Didn’t sit right with me before the game and it sure does piss me off after it. Felt like rat poison personified.
The head football coach of a team where ESPN has decided to broadcast from on campus for two days agrees to get interviewed by ESPN while they're in town? I'm shocked! How could he do such a thing? 🙄
Who tf cares? This type of stuff happens every week. It's part of the job description.

Its probably the new twisters guy or Matthew. Why are we overthinking this?
Both of them have already been guest pickers before. No repeats.

I didn’t watch the game. What was the impact of intentionally putting 12 defenders on the field?
Also, is this any dirtier than coaches that have defenders fake injuries to slow the opposing offense down?
This sums it up pretty well.
The net of it is that Oregon was able to shave critical seconds off the clock with little risk. Those seconds came into play on the next play when Howard scrambled as time ran out.

Is illegal participation still a rule in college football?

Is illegal participation still a foul in the rule book?
Actually, I should have said Illegal Substitution, which was the infraction committed by the Ducks. Not sure if Illegal Participation is still on the books or not. Haven't seen it called (15 yard penalty) in forever.

What’s stopping someone from sitting on a lead with 50 players out there? 100 players?
Unsportsmanlike Conduct penalties would do the trick

This was definitely a grey area, and I believe less than 100% integrity.
Now, what’s to stop this scenario:
-Punt ball to trailing team, pin them deep with less than a minute to go
-Play every down on defense after that with 12 or more defenders
-Prevent big plays, allow the opposing team to gain 5 yds every 10 seconds or more.
Legitimately curious, is there anything preventing this from being a legitimate strategy to consider?
In any competitive situation, this is what I would refer to as “cheesing”
The officials have leeway if a team tried to do this. One Illegal Participation foul can be debated, but consecutive ones would generate harsher penalties. After the second one, and each one in succession, the defense could/would get penalized 15 yards for Unsportsmanlike Conduct.

After all the positive behind the scene stuff about him during spring and the summer i didn’t think we would be five games into the season and him having zero sacks. What do you guys think? Is he just limited athletically at this level? He gets pressure but can’t seem to get there quick enough to get the QB to the ground.
Sark's happy with his play, so he's doing just fine as far as I'm concerned.

DJ Sanders looks pretty meh. Limited effort, takes plays off

It’s been 16 years since Texas was ranked #1, I was 11 years old. So needless to say I’ve been a Texas fan through the dark decade. Wondered through the wilderness with Charlie strong and was taught that winning is hard by Tom Herman. The question I have is what is your most memorable LOW POINT of the 2010-2021?2022? Years of dormancy?
mine has to be that 2016 trip to Kansas and laying that egg. I was bullied relentlessly for a week after that game 😂.
I'm an old and 2010-2021 doesn't come close to having the worst of Texas football. Nothing in that time frame was as bad as "Rout 66", with UCLA kicking ass 66-3 at DKR-TMS on September 13, 1997. It's the worst home loss in Texas history. In retrospect, the only thing positive from it was that there was absolutely no possibility of John Mackovic being the coach in 1998 after that day.
I know that wasn't the premise of your OP, but thought I'd add some context.

It’s crazy man. The whole program going to have a mug shot.
Now you're thinking... to simplify things, maybe they should include mugshots on their picture/media days.

Kelshaun>DK Moore. If sark and staff can consistently pull top recruits out of the boot from LSU then we are in big ol business.
What is this, Texags? Just because DKM made a bad decision doesn't mean that his physical abilities are diminished. I think his sh*t show commitment livestream was cringe and chock full of red flags from a mental eval, but the dude is the #1 WR in the state.

On the reasoning for holding off on the name in the original copy, it is a couple things. Most importantly it is for the coaching staff/trainers to notify the parents of the player. For them to find out through a tweet or a post on a board that their son is hurt and severity to not have been disclosed is something I would imagine does not sit well with any mother.
Understand and agree with that CJ. But it's been posted on other boards now, so the word is out.

A back who's out of position on a blitz pickup gets your franchise QB killed. Playing time and experience, the willingness to take on the rush, and football IQ are what makes a good pass protecting RB. Losing Baxter hurts, at least in the short term. How long it will impact the team will depend upon how fast the pups grow up.

Why can't Texas equip several players helmets with communication devices and just turn on the one they need each play?
Because they're probably following the NFL's lead. With only one helmet with communications on the field at a time, there's no way to cheat and have multiples live simultaneously.

Gerry, any intel on Inside Texas reporting that a 2025 DL is visiting Texas today (Sunday)?
Where is IT saying that? The post "Texas hosting 2025 OOS DT today (10:28am)" was made on Friday about Hanne, but it's still pinned.
