    Bobby and Gerry, I hate to start a brand new post just to ask this question, but I haven’t found the right post to ask. When Fasusi committed to OU, a common reason from recruiting outlets was, “he has a real chance to play early”… If that truly is a factor with recruits, why hasn’t it worked for DTs committing to Texas over the past few years? We should have several hight 4* to 5*s committed for 2025 if that’s the case. What am I missing?

    Is he better than Bear Alexander or Jamari Caldwell? Just trying to understand what type of talent he is.

    On the topic of sacks, one guy who improved tremendously last year was Finkley. His freshman year, he couldn’t shed a block of his life depended on it and he couldn’t bend the edge either. But he improved a lot on both last year. If he doesn’t hit the portal and takes another step forward he could be a 5 sacks guy for us this year.

    I have not heard it mentioned, but in its first season in the SEC, Texas will only travel further than 250 miles from Austin 3 times (@UM, Vandy, Arkansas). That’s a lot of none travel time that can be used for game planning, getting healthy, film study etc. I think it will play a role in the season’s outcome. But I suspect next year’s schedule to be brutal!
