  1. Past hour
  2. Our roster is full of players who took the highest NIL deal. Especially in the 25 class.
  3. It seems to me that missing out on a recruit that is making it all about the NIL isn't much of a loss. Most likely, they'll be the first ones to transfer if they don't get an NIL raise down the road. What you want are the recruits that see the big picture...NFL caliber development, great education, life-long connections, incremental NIL opportunities in a thriving city and state, etc, in addition to a fair initial NIL package. Those are the guys that will stick around for 3-5 years while they develop and earn playing time. It's a tough balance to achieve, but Sark seems to be good at it so far.
  4. Don't keep us posted Unbelievable
  5. Bobby a lot of people have been asking why we keep calling it a roster cap when NIL as we have known it isn’t going away. There is a cap on university funds, for sure, but why are y’all talking like that’s the total amount that can be spent on a class when NIL deals are still on the table?
  6. I’d be interested if we try to add another edge prospect
  7. At what point do you push the "panic" button?? Texas has done well at the end of cycles. My only issue is playing russian roulette year after year and hoping you dont end up with snake eyes. Just food for thought.
  8. Today
  9. I don’t have any real problem with where Texas sits right now. Texas has lost exactly one recruit where the Horns’ NIL offer matched or exceeded someone else’s and that was to a home-state team (Crowell). Texas does not have unlimited NIL. Neither do other teams, though some are acting like it. Let me ask you all this: are any of the players left on the board worth 1/15th of your entire roster salary cap? Maybe there might be but that number is few and far between. Today alone, Henderson and Guervil just went for those amounts.
  10. Lordy
  11. But but but , there were Hi's announced 🤣🤣🤣🤘
  12. For those keeping score at home
  13. A Wesley and Carlton duo would be quite a pair.
  14. Maybe push for isn’t the right phrase, but the very site said we decided not to match the NIL for Simeon. Don’t think we were sweating Henderson’s decision today knowing that will go all the way to December. Krempin and Roseborough we didn’t have slotted into spots where it was worth the NIL. When Bryce Perry Wright announces for A&M “over Texas” next week are we going to consider that a miss? When we stopped going all in after getting Wesley. Not all decisions are equal.
  15. He also high jumps 7' and long jumps. https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTjEtNBDa/
  16. Lmao the panic thread gotta love it, we will be fine. The staff is going to have like 20+ isn commits from the guys we really want then we can focus on getting the cherry’s on top to finish off the class like the past 2 years
  17. Which ones do you think we didn’t push for?
  18. If you actually believe Texas pushed for and didn’t land all 8 of these guys, you must be new to recruiting. Just because a guy officially visited Texas doesn’t mean it is a “miss” if he doesn’t commit here. Texas brought in 44 official visitors for a class that will under 30 guys.
  19. My guess is we come up with Okpala and one of Turntine/Ojo
  20. Good to hear we decided to put more effort into this recruitment.
  21. At this point we were gonna get who really wants to be here, the season will happen, as well as flips, senior risers, and i bet another top 5 class happens.
  22. I hope you’re wrong. I’d prefer Bishop get all the reps possible at WR, and let Lott to elsewhere.
  23. Remember when at the end of last week Bobby and Gerry said not to hit panic and see how this week went first with guys like Guervil?
