  1. Past hour
  2. I've seen this mentioned numerous times but I don't think that is true. Didn't he try to bring Bama's DC with him at first? Golding? Then he tried the Arky DC at the time, name escapes me. He did try Muschamp, but he was a firm no because of his family.
  3. Not saying I dislike Muschamp or the move, but it feels like Sark is trying to scapegoat PK into being the reason this team didn't meet expectations. At least that is the feeling I get from the pressers and all that. Anyway, looking forward to seeing what Muschamp can do. I hope for our sake it pays off, because if there is a drop off, boy is that going to be tough to explain away.
  4. I'll give credit to Sark for having the opportunity to upgrade and taking it. Additionally, he recognized Akina was a bad hire and rather than persist he failed fast and got rid of him. I'd be curious to understand how much of the defense's struggles this season can be laid at Akina's feet. A lot of Texas DB alums have positive things to say about Akina as a coach but as Jeff's post points out when Akina was given coordinating responsiblity in 2007 things collapsed then as well. It also appears he wasn't popular almongst the players either. Onward and upward
  5. Great work once again, Jeff. It gets me excited to see how motivated Sark is to get it right for next year.
  6. That part... self promotion drives up NIL and to think we wouldn't and it wouldn't be a factor is just downright dishonest.
  7. Treat em like Rollercoasters... good for a short ride.. but don't strap yourself in for a marathon.
  8. CJ date a Latina. Trust me on that.
  9. Today
  10. Remember the first UG game in 2024? In the first half the aggression from the 'dogs was overwhelming. Our O was shell-shocked. That's what Sark wants to see.
  11. Thank you for the thoughtful response! When things are meant to be, they have a way of falling into place perfectly. Sounds like you raised your daughter well - you must be so proud of her. Best wishes to her and her fiancée. Totally agree on the Longhorns - they are my favorite distraction. If they are unsuccessful, there is always next year or next sport 🤘
  12. Oklahoma is just a criminal operation since Switzer’s days. They’re a bunch of borderline convicts that have zero class yet somehow sneak their way into championship contention. They’re a slimy grimy bunch. The worst part are their non-alumni fans. Some of the worst fans in to country, and proudly ignorant and obnoxious. Their mascot IS A CRIMINAL for heaven’s sakes!
  13. Interesting perspective - sounds about right with the comparison of the two fan bases. I totally agree about the RRR being the best game - it’s the one game each season we always go to - there is just nothing like it!!
  14. Funny. I've met the Lil' Hammer taking over.
  15. Let the politics go buddy. jk. 🤣
  16. And their up 17-0 against Obama that looks bad
  17. The Texas Hammer is it 😂
  18. Several years ago Texas won the RRR and my buddy treated my Ex and me to a post-game dinner at Morton's in downtown Dallas. The waiter told us he was sorry, but the restaurant staff always favored the Sooners. He said when OU wins, their more fortunate fans extend their stay until Sunday and enjoy expensive dinners and wine. He said otoh, the Texas fans show up in just about the same numbers regardless of the outcome of the game. The RRR game is still my all time favorite. Hook 'Em!
  19. This is a football matter not a personal injury lawsuit. I think I'll trust Coach Sark on this one.
  20. The one time the Texas Defense frustrated me to the max was when the Horns kicked what should have been the winning FG vs OU... and bent so much with very little time left that the Longhorns lost. Hook 'Em!
  21. It certainly feels like Sark has gone DEFCON 3. I'm excited over the prospect of an attacking defense, and it figures that recruits will be also.
  22. Sark saw what we all did last year. PK had Simmons chasing tight ends. So dumb. He never challenged the Florida quarterback which cost us a shot at the playoffs. I was tired of the bend but don't break defense. Let's get aggressive like a Tasmanian Devil. Coach Boom will deliver.
  23. Well, that just about covers it! I didn't choose wisely when I didn't propose to my GF from UT. When she heard I was engaged she showed up at my workplace in Downtown Houston (she lived in Dallas) and tried to talk me out of my mistake. I felt like I had "given my word" and couldn't go back on the engagement... even though I really wanted to. 21 years later I got divorced because my Ex was just always unhappy about something or other. I do have a daughter who graduated from UT in 2017 and is engaged to a young man I like, so it wasn't a total loss. My GF from UT days is still married and doing well. My Ex got remarried within a couple of years. I never even went out on a coffee date because I just prefer living the single life. Your post is excellent and your man is fortunate to have you. We all have one thing in common. We love the Longhorns, so Hook 'Em!!!
  24. Looks like he will file an injunction to block this appointment.
  25. Man I forgot about that one. Good call
