@Bobby Burton I assume if Muschamp personally wants Williams back it means they think he will be fully back from his injury. Is that fair? I only ask because he didn’t play much this year and clearly looked a step slower. Not sure we’d just run it back with him if we thought it would be another Baxter situation.

I don’t know if it’s been mentioned, but something to keep in mind going into next year. Teams with first round byes are 1-7 with Indiana being the lone winner. The question is, is having a first round bye really that beneficial🤔

It’s funny that A&M complained the last two years that we had an easy schedule when they had one of the weakest schedules in the SEC in 2025. Had we beaten Florida, I think we’d have had a Top 5 SOR. Can only see Indiana, Georgia, Ole Miss, or Ohio State performing better against our schedule and two of those teams were on our schedule.

Who suggested Texas had a weak schedule?

Looking at Winsipedia, we've played Texas State once, back in 1930. Texas State was then named Southwest Texas State Teachers College (I did not know the school's original purpose was to train the future public school teachers of Texas). Texas won 36-0, led by Head Coach Clyde Littlefield in his 4th season. Southwest Texas State was led by Oscar W. Strahan in his 12th season. Texas went 8-1-1 (4-1, SWC) and won the Southwest Conference.
