This opens an interesting window to player acquisition in the coming weeks if other schools follow LSU’s lead here. Basically, any 2022 recruit who fails to make the final 53-man NFL roster in a few weeks can now be recruited by any college football program to immediately play (and no portal process is required, and grabbing former players from other SEC programs is fair game). This could turn into a feeding frenzy in a few weeks. Any good ILBs from SEC schools last season now fighting to make an NFL roster?
