OU being a lock is a joke. They lost at home. They lost a neutral site. Is Tennessee their 2nd best win? Or Michigan? Tennessee got blown out at home by Vandy. Michigan got handled by OSU at home. Vandy beat most of OUs contenders for 2nd best win. The only metric they have us on is losses. And lost head to head. By 3 scores.

If you’re LSU and you’re dropping $14/year on a coach, don’t you want to announce it before signing day? It certainly appears their class is holding together now.

If BYU wins the Big 12, Alabama will get bumped out of the #10 spot (and therefore, out of the playoffs). Tech will still get in as an at-large, likely in the #9 or #10 spot. If Duke wins the ACC, the ACC will get ZERO teams into the playoffs. UNT, Tulane, and James Madison are all project to be ranked higher than Duke, and two of these 3 schools would get the final two auto-spots and be placed at #11 and #12 in the playoff seeding. Troy State and Boise State do not have a shot here, regardless of outcomes.

And a lot of it is being reported by both OM and LSU sides plus national reporters. So the “I’m not sure I believe all that” doesn’t really fly.
