I believe there will be higher end players entering towards the end of the month. FWIW, Joseph was the 21st ranked safety in the ACC and Barnes was the 43rd ranked safety per PFF. -
Private equity doesn’t inherently “centralize power”; it injects capital and expertise into sectors that are underfunded, inefficient, or financially stagnant. In many industries - sports included - PE has revitalized struggling organizations, preserved jobs, modernized operations, and expanded consumer options. In sports, PE has grown leagues rather than monopolized them: Formula 1 exploded globally after Liberty Media’s investment UFC became a mainstream powerhouse after PE-backed Endeavor professionalized its operations European soccer clubs stabilized financially when PE firms helped restructure debt and upgrade infrastructure These aren’t examples of “killing small businesses”, they’re examples of taking underperforming assets and improving them. PE is also high-risk capital: firms only succeed if the underlying business succeeds long-term. They don’t win unless fans, athletes, and the product win too. PE isn’t automatically predatory; when done right, it brings capital, innovation, and sustainable growth to systems that need it.

Major production. Spent two seasons at Stanford before transferring to Hawaii in 2025. -
Do a little research. It isn’t a trope. You may be cool with it but objectively it only benefits the PE company. Kills small businesses, has been key with monopolies which results in the centralization of power for a very few. No one should want a few holding the power and money. That’s how oligarchies and fascists thrive. It’s also politically agnostic. It becomes the party of green with very, very few members. Okay, stepping off the soapbox 🤣. You might support making money as a bottom line consideration but it’s wake it’s pretty well documented. 🤘🏽

I’m ok scheduling Arkansas State or Tarleton State instead of ND. If strength of schedule means nothing, get the win.

How would you even know this? -
Don't worry Notre Dame will do it for us.
-
Agree - Ohio St. and Michigan make sense to keep because that's the return trip to Austin so Texas wants to reap the cost benefits, however Notre Dame not the same situation. Right now, only Notre Dame gets credit whether they win or not, Texas would be punished for losing but not really gain anything winning the game.

In listening to the ND AD rant and rave against the ACC, makes one wonder if ND is laying the groundwork for their next steps after the ACC dissolves in 2031. When combined with these rumors of Freeman leaving for the NFL, makes one wonder if Freeman wants ND to get out of the ACC scheduling partnership (5 games per year).
-
This will continue as long as strength of schedule remains a myth. Leave it to piggy to ruin college football.
-
We MUST cancel Notre Dame.

He and Barnes look like serious takes at DB. -
Georgia cancels two scheduled series for the future. The first is Georgia and Louisville set for 2026 and 2027. Then the Georgia and NC State series which was much further down the road was cancelled as well. This of course comes on the heels of Alabama cancelling its series with USF in 2026. Still, Texas remains scheduled to play Ohio State in 2026, Michigan in 2027, and Notre Dame in 2028-29.

Guess we know why Ole Miss wasn't really in consideration for Arch when he was being recruited lol: And yes, it's real, it's on Archie's cameo page: https://www.cameo.com/archiemanning Just wanted to share this since I've never really heard him talk like that about anyone before 🤷♂️ Also saw a clip of him on a radio show saying that Ole Miss had no chance in keeping Lane because "You had God and Nick Saban telling him to go to LSU"
