  1. Past hour
  2. #75 ... worth the watch. A lot to like here ... "got a chance" level prospect IMO. Very good feet, quality body quickness, physical, pretty good pad level in HS.
  3. To echo a little bit about of what Gerry is saying, Wilt Chamberlain was probably the most dominant single player of any generation in the NBA and he only won 2 championships. One in 1967 and the other with the lakers (Jerry West not Kobe on that team, sorry Harvey)
  4. Easy call for VY of course. I will give a shoutout to my first Texas qb as a fan and the guy who went 4-0 against ou sucks. Peter the Great Gardere
  5. F Jeff Fisher in the a. That’s all I have to say about that, and I’ve felt that way since 2006 btw.
  6. We are ten days away from the start of the season. When it come's to No. 10, there's only one name that comes to mind.... Vince Young VY finished his Texas career 30-2 as a starter, won his final 20 consecutive games and produced 9,167 yards of total offense with 81 total touchdowns. Then there was the unforgettable 2005 season: 13-0. 3,036 passing yards. 1,050 rushing yards. 38 total touchdowns. Maxwell Award. Davey O’Brien Award. Manning Award. Consensus All-American. Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year. And most importantly... National Champion. When Texas needed him most against USC, Young delivered one of the greatest performances in college football history: 467 total yards, three rushing touchdowns and the game-winning score on 4th-and-5. His No. 10 is retired at Texas and he is now a member of the College Football Hall of Fame. So for No. 10? It’s Vince Young and then everybody else.
  7. Agree completely...as far as the portal they should get 1. If they want to move again there should be a 1 year hold time where they can practice but can not play. Exceptions made for family emergency issues of course. As far as any player participating in any NFL camp or professionally recognized program to include overseas should receive an automatic ban from "college" sports. Call it a non compete clause. I am all about these guys getting paid, however this has to be reigned in.
  8. Today
  9. I don't think this is college sports anymore either. This is professional sports. I agree with that. I think one area I like with where it's going, or the Big 10 and SEC (ACC will follow) is trying, is there is a difference with what's going on now vs. the true "pro sports". These established college athletes have it all right now. They can go pro, decide they don't want to anymore because of more $$$ or get cut and return to college essentially. That can't go on. It's just not healthy for "college" sports. It will get to a point where coaches recruit their roster, work out all summer and then rug pull athletes a week or two before seasons. And those athletes are screwed. They can't just transfer somewhere else and be eligible to compete/play immediately. They have to get in the portal, wait for the portal window, and go through the process again.
  10. Enjoyed the program... Fishers a bitter man but Vince also made his mistakes. So much in life for athletes is circumstances and opportunity. I did not know he grew up wanting to go to FSU. Very happy Bobby Bowden recruited VY as a WR.
  11. Kelsey isn't a good defender because she's not a good defender. It ain't just because of size. That dog doesn't hunt. That's an insult to any quality defensive player that was a little undersized, and there have been thousands in basketball over the years. Without being close to the Fever, or caring to be BTW, I'm betting the demands aren't there defensively as a team under the current coach. No single player can carry a basketball team to a championship. You have to have the coaching, the system and a great supporting cast. That goes for MJ, Shaq, Kobe, Hakeem or anyone. MJ couldn't carry the Bulls to a championship vs. the experienced Celtics or Pistons early in his career - and was very clearly the best and most dominant player on the court. The Bulls had to put everything in place to make it happen, and grow as a team and individual players with the correct coach. And he's the best ever. Steph Curry couldn't have carried to GS Warriors to a title without Klay and Draymond. Because no single player can. Who knows what will happen in all these players careers. Some of it is out their hands, and in the hands of management and coaching. If a very good player doesn't have those pieces in pro sports... they are up against it. I always reference VY at Texas in that regard at the college level. If Mack and Greg Davis hadn't opened their mind to what they needed to do offensively to maximize Texas with VY, and maximize VY at the same time ... there is zero chance Texas wins an NC with Vince, as truly talented as that team was. What a shame that would have been.
  12. Clarks finally healthy again. Look out league.
  13. I am glad that the 2 highest profile conferences have voted to nix this craziness. To play devils advocate tho... NCAA players are already getting paid thus they are professional athletes already. How much does ot really matter if they uave eligibility left that they move from one business to another. The only difference is where the paycheck comes from. Not by any means advocating for this but there is a legitimate argument.
  14. The Fever have a product that sells tickets, yes. That's great for ownership, but players want to win. Kelsey isn't a good defender because of size, Clark stands 6 ft and has no lateral movement, change of direction, and very little athleticism. You see it in her dribble. When she goes to change direction from right to left, she almost always goes behind her back. She's really good, I think, but I don't think she can carry a team to a championship. She's going to have outstanding numbers and set records. The thing about records is they will almost certainly be broken. Olivia is already destroyed almost every mark she set as a rookie. But to be a champion, that is forever. So viewership, ticket sales... it's great but as a sports fan I never looked at Jordan, Lebron, Kobe, or any of the other greats and said wow the Bulls, Cavs, or Lakers really have a nice product to sell. Competitors are judged by hardware.
  15. The Fever's biggest issue is none are high end defenders. Kelsey Mitchell much worse that Clark. Mitchell is -51... which is a wow bad number defensively. Boston okay, but still -9. Clark's a little overblown in comparison to the perception... she's very similar comparison to Steph Curry in that regard. But she doesn't have Klay and Draymond defensively around her ... that also were space players, shooters and skilled passers in the system. Fever have a product that sells tickets for sure, but they will eventually have to get more rebounding and interior defensive presence.
  16. If people really pay attention to Paige and Azzi they're really the Steph and Klay of the W. Paige because when she is off ball she never stops moving and is annoying to guard. Azzi will drop 20 on you and never take one dribble. I like what Dallas has going with Jess (Jokic) Sheppard and Awak blocking any and everything. Just sucks they will end up playing the Lynx... ouch.
  17. Give me Olivia all day as my PG1, Clark goes in the same category as Luka and James Harden for me. I never want to have to sub my PG late in games due to defense. Clark is going to need a lot more 30/10 games next year, Kelsey is gone next year.
  18. Yeah Vince made mistakes. But Fisher really comes off bad here. And still petty to not answer the letter Vince sent. Overall a pretty good and fair piece. Enjoyed Bo and Lendale as well .
  19. Jeff fisher being to much of a immature man child to write a letter back to vince simply because he spelt his name wrong was petty as can be
  20. I thought the portal window is closed. How are we still talking about the portal?
  21. Addicts are still at high risk after going through rehab. A lot of addicts go through rehab 7-8 times. I think it was unrealistic and disingenuous for Tech to expect him to be restored after one rehab.
  22. New Documentary following Vince Young’s rise and fall. Definitely gives some interesting perspective. If I ever see Jeff Fisher in person, it is on sight. **** that guy.
  23. Nice! And @Jordan Scruggs someone did top your origin score but he did take 8 attempts vs your 1...
