Gumbo is thrown out at home trying to make Livingston's base hit a two-run knock. It's an RBI double for Livingston. Texas heads to the bottom of the eighth with a 12-4 lead after a four-run top of the inning.

Borba draws a walk and the bases are loaded for Gumbo.

Former Longhorn Cameron O'Banan is on the mound to face Borba with RISP and two outs.

Got the Texas State staff shook, emptying out the bullpen, this last inning and a half is going to take forever.

Borba's got pop, doesn't alway hit for average, but plenty of power.

Becerra strikes out looking and Texas State makes a pitching change.

Attaboy A-Rod, really drove that one on a first pitch.

Tinney led off the eighth with a walk. He just went from first to third on a ball hit through the right side by Robbins. Runners on the corners with no outs for Rodriguez.

Higgins strikes out Jaquae Stewart to get out of the seventh.

Grubbs is done after surrendering a two-out RBI double. Cal Higgins is on the mound with two outs and a runner on second in the bottom of the seventh.

Two very long home runs by Borba.

Borba's second home run of the night makes it 8-3 in favor of the Longhorns, top of the seventh.

I have been critical of Borba. Happy to be wrong!
