And it’s wild the average fan naive fan will see five stars beside his name and think he’ll come in ready to contribute right away. That kids going to be multiple years away before he is physically and mentally ready to even break into the two deep here.

This sounds hilarious. I want to go watch a Gilmer game now.

I mentioned this on the Recruiting Breakdown this week ... Georgia linebacker commit Joakim Gouda told OTF earlier this week that he continues to hear from Texas despite his commitment to the Bulldogs. He originally had a summer official visit locked in to Austin before committing to UGA and cancelling his other trips. So he has that OV in his back pocket if he decides to take a trip out here. I asked him if he planned to. "Possibly," he replied. Just keep it in your back pocket. There's been no indication that he's wavering on Georgia to this point. https://www.hudl.com/video/3/19308460/68d1d6ca8a61b935346c4b91

Went to A&M my freshman year of college. It’s why I’m a Longhorn today

I went and watched Gilmer’s scrimmage last night. What in the world are they doing having Camara play almost like a split end/slot/fullback position? Yeah he’s a big athletic kid but they got him trying to run down safety’s and corners to block? Absolutely out of position and doing that kid a huge disservice for his development in my opinion. They literally had him lining up out wide dumbest crap I’ve ever seen.

Everything about that school is so cultist and weird to me. From the milkmen running around on the field to the yell practices.

Justus Terry and Jonah Williams are in the same category/situation for me. Besides that I think Ryan Wingo really needs to be that guy, any time you have 2 studs at WR at any level of football you’re hard to stop, especially when you factor in Mosley as the stabilizer. I think a freshman linebacker will have to be a dude as the year wears on. Whether it’s Okpala or someone else, that room is just too thin to count on 3-4 guys all year long. Greffard up front for me. Texas needs 1-2 DTs to be stuffers on short yardage situations, goal line, or 4th downs. May sound obvious, but the biggest one of all is Arch Manning. Can’t do much if he has too many inconsistency on easy throws or starts the year slow. I’m not saying I think he will do that, but that is the biggest of all in my opinion. -

What’s the competition level for Tennessee private schools like? Looks like DGG is almost maxed out size and playing some scrawny 150 lb DBs. -

15 Days Until Kickoff: Who Was The Best No. 15?

Going to give Alan Lowry my vote. That Cotton Bowl win against Bama won me $5 back then that I didn't really have to spend - made the bet on emotion only, living in Bama country. I hope I will never forget it. -

Alan Lowry who pulled a rare feat while at Texas. In 1972 he was a first team all SWC safety. In 1973 he was a first team all SWC quarterback. Pretty sure he is the only player in Texas history that has done that since two platoon football started. Might be the only player in college football to do it but that I am not sure of that. Great athlete. -

Justus Terry is my pick. If he can be a consistent disruptor up the middle, then this defense really goes to another level. Texas doesn't have the disruptor now, but if Terry can be that, look out. -

12. Ryan Wingo. Imagine if he truly takes a huge step and is more than just a deep threat/WR screen guy. This offense is scary if he proves he can catch 7-12 balls and take the game over. -
