  1. Past hour
  2. James Simon and Emaree next is my guess. I’d probably also bet on Kobe heading out. I’m still standing strong that will be fine but this is gonna take some getting used to.
  3. I know at the end of the day Texas will be fine, as the attrition we are experiencing is similar to the other Blue Bloods within the sport.. but man this sucks. It’s not fun, and just does not feel like the college football I’ve known in my entire life. Yes, things change. This is not for the better. College football was special because it was different than the NFL. Regionality and loyalty mattered. No more.
  4. Ffrench means nothing. Was buried. If we lose Lockett, Wingo or Mccutch, we have a major problem.
  5. He is in love with our bench. they put up crazy stats in practice and the amount of water they drank during the games was top of the list. JK JK - Hate to see them go, but Washington got passed up by the eoy. Ffrench was the bottom of the wr pecking order. Zina hurts but he wasn't going to be a starter next year.
  6. This simply isn't true. Texas' hope is that they can upgrade the offensive line in 2026. Wouldn't A&M's hope be the same?
  7. that hurts. ffrench was supposed to be the 1a WR of the class. got passed up by lockett and mccutcheon. zina also had potential too--great sack against michigan. this is what i hate most about the new ear of college football--not getting to see the recruits you followed reach their potential @ Texas.
  8. Ffrench isn’t a bad loss Zina is imo
  9. Hey, I’m all about that mantra. I’m on team patience is a virtue. Hope they can pull it together.
  10. I’m thinking some people should log off until the portal is closed then look and see it’s not all doom and gloom.
  11. Whoever A&M is bringing in on the offensive line isn't as good as the guys that are graduating and we won the LOS the last two years in a row so I'm not particularly worried about who they're bringing in tbh.
  12. I don't expect to win every portal recruitment - but what are we winning at right now? 10% of them? I also don't expect us to retain every player, but we're headed to a scenario where 30% of the current roster turns over in the portal alone. Not including players declaring or otherwise out of eligibility. Hard not to call a spade a spade on that one.
  13. I go to grab lunch and come back to Ffrench and Zina leaving. Damn this is crazy.
  14. Exactly my thought. The knock on effects of what’s happening right now are going to be fascinating. A complete restructuring is happening right now for almost all major title contenders.
  15. All of this is going to make me care a lot less about high school recruiting moving forward. I wonder what percentage of players will never transfer in their careers? 20%?
  16. The PORTAL is still OPEN. Wait until the dust settles at some level.
  17. I'm guessing James Simon and maybe another young WR are next to enter? Or maybe a DL
  18. Would be interesting if the blue bloods stop investing significant NIL in all but a few elite high school recruits, leading the G5 to act as a minor league or developmental league. The blue bloods can then re-invest in the recruits that pan out at the G5 level. That would be wise from an ROI perspective.
  19. I look away for 20 minutes.. Ffuch's sake 🤦🏽‍♂️
  20. @CJ Vogel you just posted there will be more departures… how many more you thinking? Texas is at what 23 right now?
  21. If Gerry didn’t buy those depends yesterday, he definitely is today
  22. so our 2025 #1 class is now being decimated no?
  23. High school recruiting is dead for power 4 programs. Agents repping college kids have unintentionally tanked the value of high school players beyond the top 20-50 recruits who can have instant impact. They can either come for low value and be developed or they can test their worth with lower P4 and G5 teams. Such an interesting market dynamic.
  24. Nick Saban retired at the best time he could.
