  1. Past hour
  2. It’s looking like less and less of a coincidence that our running game found life after Arch started hitting passes against Oh St. And it happened in that order, not the other way around.
  3. Quinn didn’t have a running game after Brooks went down against TCU in 2023. And only a marginal one in 2024, yet we still went to the national semis. I’ll take failures like that all day long compared to the Arch era.
  4. Idk why it’s such big debate and caused a fight but ALL points are right both Arch and Scheme wise. When the OL does do their job and block well Arch is holding onto the ball too long and fails to read the field or check down to the wide open guy for a first. Let’s not forget he has thrown past the LOS 3 times this year which is an embarrassment for any 4th year QB to do. But the OL is a major issue in itself and these blitz’s aren’t getting checked properly which does fall on the QB/C combination which has been putrid communication and blocking wise. But at the same time Sark should know that the right side of the pocket can’t block and collapses more than the left side so Sark has gotta find a way to use the Left side of the field as the main source of movement. These constant runs to the right are killing us and haven’t worked all year. Sark scheme is decent but not suited for the Talent level Arch is playing at right now as well so he as an HC should make that read and adjust accordingly but he hasn’t. Unfortunately this years issues have been a mix of all 3 OL, QB, and Sark being bad in tandem. Because some plays are schemed up super well but either the OL fails to block someone or Arch throws a meatball sub to a ghost. A new QB could help mask these issues if he sees the field better, it’s proven to work at the highest of levels. So I agree with all points bc guess what the ENTIRE operation is bad, and unfortunately Arch is the QB and a good QB play can help these things. But he has been terrible and that’s proven on tape. Like I said though at the same time Sark should have changed the playbook up for a bad OL that can’t block or do pulls and a QB who is just not a good football player rn
  5. Yesterday
  6. I agree Arch is not playing well, but Quinn had a running game. The running game is non-existent. Sark even said Florida didn’t hit that many big runs but they end with 90 something yards rushing. He is not willing to take 3 yard runs, he is always measuring success by explosive plays.
  7. Not sure I understand how KJ Lacey would be any better behind the same porous OL? If Sark doesn't adjust the line calls or go to a quick passing game (like Florida did), we will lose more games. No matter the QB. .
  8. Any word on who is taking first team reps at center?
  9. I thought our offense under Quinn was very good when we had Brooks and Blue together. And remained competent even when Brooks got hurt and Baxter never getting back to full speed. The difference this year is Arch.
  10. Deron Rippey is going to be hard to keep off the court
  11. Just know it's a flex and time between 2:30 and 3:30 that afternoon. I would guess there would be a drone show with the time change and being dark. Plus last home game of the year. Because we are definitely not hosting a playoff game the way we look now.
  12. I’m afraid Ole Miss has dawgs up front and Arch will hold onto ball too long and Sark makes a change to KJ. Feels like it’s coming.
  13. Everyone blamed Quinn for the offensive woes and wanted Arch. Now everyone wants KJ. When is everyone going to hold the OC and position coaches accountable. There is a development issue on the offensive side of the ball.
  14. If you do lose it will you change your handle to LiveStrong
  15. Run Arch 12-15 times on zone reads and RPOs. We need him to derive confidence from being physical.
  16. Bye bye, pumpkin.
  17. Isn’t it wild how our running game picked up once Arch started hitting passes against Oh St?
  18. Ok so not a real conversation. Have a good night
  19. That’s not a scheme, that is expectations. What is our scheme and identity to fall back on when that doesn’t occur?
  20. Our scheme is based on a QB operating in a competent manner. Is that too heavy a lift to expect for Arch?
  21. So what’s our scheme/identity? Would you say “play action shots without a running game”?
  22. How do you not fix this going forward though? That was how many weeks ago?
  23. You asked for a play that was a scheme issue. I showed you one. You said no that’s actually a blown assignment from the center who double teamed with Sikorski. I showed you made that up.
  24. He misses lots of open guys, ace. Which cost us first downs, touchdowns and positive yardage to sustain drives. If Arch only hit half of those misses (not much to ask) we would have won not only Saturday but probably against OU. We have no “scheme or identity” because our QB is not playing competently. Simple as that.
  25. 2 questions 1. If Sark is to be let go at the end of the season, would it be a rebuild type of regime change or would we be able to be competitive day one? 2. Random, but does anyone have a good idea of when the Arky game will kick off? Will there be a drone show despite the earlier flex designation?
  26. It’s like the scheme is the reason for this, we have no fall back because the scheme is the scheme for Sark. He should have retooled, simplified everything, focus on one blocking style for his offense, and this all should have been done during the bye. Now we lost 2 in a row to unranked opponents he’s going to now open things. As @Red Five pointed out above if Arch is 100% at fault, he’s not, then it’s on the coaching staff and scheme to change. Sark not changing anything until he absolutely has to is an indictment to his failures as a HC and an OC. Adjust to what you have, not what you want.
