“Keep battling if he flips?” 😂 You mean the same way people spent months convincing themselves Evan Stewart and Dakorian Moore were secretly coming back to the good guys right up until signing day? At some point it stops being “keep battling” and starts being a support group for recruiting denial. If Royal flips, hanging onto hope and a prayer isn’t a strategy, it’s just delusional cope.

The sky is falling, we’re doomed, might not ever win another game or land a big recruit ever again. This 17 year old kid is trying to make a multi year million dollar decision and he’s having a little uncertainty, so let’s write him off as gone.

Nothing about this scares me anymore, this is the landscape of recruiting now. Basically free agency unless a kid truly loves his college. Nothing will change until it does lol.

The signs have been there. Of course we will keep battling if he truly flips. And we will be okay at that position. Blame Brian Kelly lol. Remember when this board treated the possibility of Royal flipping to LSU like it was a flat earth conspiracy? And just yesterday people were getting laughed off the site for saying Sales wasn’t coming to Texas. Fast forward 24 hours: Sales commits to Indiana, Royal gets a Fong Bomb to LSU, and suddenly the recruiting gurus have gone suspiciously quiet. Amazing how quickly “never happening” turns into “well, we didn’t really want him anyway.”
