  1. Past hour
  2. Sark has the ultimate say. He is not gonna allow NIL to get out of line and impede the culture he built.
  3. Gentleman, remember this years team is the best depth we’ve had in many years on both sides of the ball. When you go after big names you win some and lose some. If these Kids don’t want to be here because of money that’s okay. They’re still kids. We’ve reached the point that we can’t promise early playing time like these other schools can. We can promise development and becoming a student of the game with the opportunity to show out. We gonna be Alright Alright Alright.
  4. I doubt it. He has a say. He doesn’t solely deal with the business of work arounds. I’m sure they have someone on it. Lawyers, CDC, etc.
  5. Again. You either trust Sark or you don't. He controls the NIL offers.
  6. I agree, but I didn’t complain in previous years. Well, maybe in the late Mack Brown years. I trust the staff, but they don’t control the money always. Everyone here is right, this is big boy recruiting, and we are going to follow the rules now and do little boy recruiting, this is concerning. We won these recruitments with the narrative and the kids wanting to come here with solid recruiters (I trust that), then it seems like we can’t close due to money. That doesn’t have much to do with recruiting chops. Has to do with the system. We need to funnel the money we were winning with the last few years into legitimate channels to make more competitive offers. We are Texas
  7. You either trust the recruiting staff, coachez and Sark or you don't. Your choice. Every year fans look for a reason to complain. This year it's the settlement. Can't wait for next years.
  8. I usually skim over long long posts… but I make sure to read every line of Jeff Howes scattershooting posts. Like the stat of sark and Mack having eerily similar records at Texas heading into what ended up being a championship season for Mack. Let’s hope that’s a sign of things to come for sark
  9. Now here is the positive, the sky isn’t falling because we lost some recruits. Our team is good and we have good retention and roster management. We also have mulligans later in the portal if we miss at the end. Also, some teams might later lose their head coaches that we are fighting for these recruits. However, we need to develop some work around to legitimately get these kids some higher bids with NIL. Plenty of longhorns own businesses.
  10. The irony in your post is awesome. You policing my post by telling me what I can post is comedy gold.
  11. They were beasts. Would have won NC if Field Goal Fred wasn’t the coach!
  12. Well, since these rules and workarounds are new, maybe not? No precedent, so how do you know ? We are playing by the rules and others aren’t, so we are losing recruits at the last minute that favor us. This is the only evidence that is objective right now. I still trust the process, but doing the same thing when you are failing is the definition of insanity. You are all pointing to previous years when the house settlement wasn’t in place. Other teams in the SEC don’t play fair, if we do, we are at a disadvantage until we figure it out. And we better quick.
  13. I guess beat them with NIL in November and December. Tbd
  14. You don't have to comment this on every person's post dude. It's just derogatory. I tried to subtly clue you in. Get over yourself for a bit.
  15. Mack Brown had a lot of near misses also at national championships. Could have had 2/3 more, oh well. “Jimmy Saxton” led the offense in 1946, now “Jimmy Sexton” leads most of the 2025 college offenses by proxy. Sorry, saw a dad joke in there and had to take it.
  16. The 20 million is also used to retain the members of the current roster.
  17. Bobby, it seems a good portion of these commitments are coming down to last minute NIL sweeteners. How much are we getting outbid by and I assume it’s a conscience decision not to counter with more money?
  18. I don’t think that is correct.
  19. Pretty sure Sark knows what he is doing. Amazing so many fans still question these coaches.
  20. That rule has changed a few years ago
  21. He can ride the bus back to Austin with the team or join Sark on the UT jet.
