Another good LB prospect. I think him and the Wisconsin guy would be great additions if they can pull it off. -

True, but Williams was shakey. It was an experiment for him that was dimming.

You forgot to fill the In part...

Actually Stroh could move the biggest of the Texas DL. He lacked lateral quickness to be a guard or tackle. I wished that Texas would have tried him at Center where lateral quickness is not required. No opposing line man pushed him backwards.
-
Debatable. Both were pretty locked in with Oregon before he left. Then we were took advantage of that and swooped in.

I would like to see us capitalize on this portal and leave no doubt. Last year, sark and co. without a doubt left a bunch out there and that caused us to have the season we had (Still a good season btw). It was just clear we didn't do enough in the portal. Example - zachariah branch. Lets get it going -
Williams was likely to return to Texas either way.

Prayers for the Jordan and family. -
You have no clue. Cojoe was doing well until he tore his ACL. A lot of your described "busts" are good players who decided to go elsewhere for playing time. To call them busts is insulting.

Texas men’s basketball game thread

The football team is NOT like the basketball program at all. We have one down year (still 10 wins) yet people are acting like we went 5-7. Basketball definitely needs more NIL help, But can they get it in the issue. -
Derek Williams to Return to Texas in 2026
f1revo replied to CJ Vogel's topic in On Texas Football Forum
Probably not a lot of demand for someone who looked like a shell of themselves after injury. Hopefully the more distance from that tear the better he will be on that knee. -
Cojoe tore his ACL. Hard to call him a bust. Meanwhile you call Stroh a mixed bag, where he was a complete and total bust lol.

You are a Debbie downer for sure. -
Still got time to correct but yeah, not a great start for sure. I was also pretty high on that LSU guy who played T for them but was a more natural fit at G, think he committed to Ole Miss?

Are we about to waste this upcoming year?

In 2023 you wouldn’t have guessed Gunnar Helm would have the 2024 season that he had. We’re good at TE, the guys we have are perfectly capable of developing. Honestly, we’d be ok at WR too. This Fr class of receivers (Lockett, McCutcheon, etc) can and will come on. We undeniably need help at OL, that’s truth. We need at least one playmaker at RB. One homerun hitter and one goal line back would be ideal. Hate that we lost Wisner. Above all else he was a willpower guy and leader with heart -
Based on Bobby’s comments today, Robertson is likely to come back in 2026, which would be great news for the team but not so great for Cruz. I hope he finds a good spot like Kibble did so quickly.
-
had plenty of opportunity at guard in the meantime, and with Robertson seemingly iffy to return for next year, this feels like a flat-out bust

I think most people get that. As of today though, Texas has done an excellent job of getting kids more money at their current schools.
