Too inconsistent in overall play, 3 shutouts in the month of April. Maybe a short post season unfortunately. -

Just like last year, everything needs to click at the right time. They top tier talent, but it's not the most elite. OU is better at hitting and Tennessee and Texas Tech both boast better pitching staffs. -
I don't understand the thought process that thinks Sorsby can just go to the NFL. If Sorsby gambled on his own team in the NFL, he'd go to prison. The NFL won't simply let that slide and say, "C'mon into the supplemental draft." He'll need to go through multiple evaluations and years before the NFL will even consider allowing him to play. There's nothing any lawyer can do about that. This isn't the NCAA preventing some college kid from exercising his constitutional right to make money.

Someone will do it, especially if they can get him on the cheap.

I can see wanting to learn you’re ineligible sooner rather than later to move on with it. The Cincy lawsuit is still going to be fun to follow.

25-26 Director's Cup Thread

I have Stanford with a much higher projection (1314.5), so I'm wondering what's amiss. I have fall/winter subtotal at 917.5 as at thedirectorscup.com, then spring projections of 83 (W WP - final), 100 (BVB), 60 (one of W LAX or M Golf), 100 ( W Golf), 90 (Row), 64 (Softball), and then excluded scores for M/W tennis (50,50),one of W LAX or M Golf (60), and W T&F (50). Those scores further cause the fall/scores for M WP (55) and M Fencing (45) to be excluded, so that's 917.5-100+497=1314.5, so we're about 60 points apart. which is suspicious. btw, #1 UCLA got upset in the qf of men's VB, so they dropped 40 projected points there. I think. -

Love this from guys who play on or near the line of scrimmage. It’s a good sign of explosive athleticism. - Today

Texas is a top-four seed ... a major advantage We have the talent to make a run, but the second half of the season showed why we are not the safest pick. The pitching depth behind Kavan hasn’t been consistent, the defense has been shaky, and the offense disappears too often against top‑tier arms. In a league as deep as the SEC, those issues get exposed fast. We can win it, but they’ll need to play cleaner softball than they have in months.

This is what I keep saying. What NFL team takes him two months removed from what is basically in-patient rehab for gambling? Hunter Dekkers is playing in UFL, but he's years removed from his scandal.

Does Texas get a full share now or is it still a rediced share?

https://www.secsports.com/news/2026/02/sec-announces-2024-25-revenue-distribution Last year the SEC distributed about the same per school (72.4 Million). We'll see about this year, but BIG one MBB, WBB, Football as well as smaller sports like Field Hockey and Water Polo, etc.

If we do, it's just one more reason to have a low opinion of Tech.
