  1. Past hour
  2. Heck yeah, two a days in the late 80s early 90s in Austin in August (100 degrees +) with a pvc pipe rigged up to a hose for water breaks. We would walk to the 7 Eleven 2 blocks from the high school to get Big Gulps, Fritos, and a chili dog in between practices, and still not get nauseated at the second practice. I guess because we were young and too dumb to know better. But I digress….
  3. I hope those calves aren't photo-shopped, good lord.
  4. I'm putting in picks for Missouri, Houston, Florida State, SMU, Indiana, Michigan, Alabama and Florida
  5. Visited Texas yesterday
  6. Gotcha. I know you’d have to report a 77 as a non-oline guy but not sure if you could plop a 34 in at guard without declaration. I’d assume do
  7. Today
  8. What number did you wear? Fullback and guard don’t jive in that sense.
  9. I played mostly linebacker and fullback, but my coach had me at right guard sometimes just to pull and lead block on sweeps sometimes. I guess I was a battering ram, (CTE what?!) but I remember when I went over with the lineman having to fire off low under the chutes, and our coach had 8x6 boards on the ground under the chutes that we had to straddle as we fired off with choppy steps to teach us to keep a wide base for run blocking. Sleds were involved in practice as well. I’m sure they had those out at Hays Consolidated?
  10. Wow time to log off old man
  11. Rightfully so, Joe. She probably majored in animal husbandry 👀
  12. The lady for when they do SEC shorts I just like the battered Aggie syndrome is why I choose it
  13. Hey Joe, who's the hot chick in your avatar? 👀
  14. I think practice and hitting time constraints impact this, but I’d say the depth and quality on the defensive side has changed too. Not just players but coaches too. At the high school level it may be too easy to create mismatches so the focus is on skill guys. Defenses are quicker and faster so those targets are harder to hit. And with the portal, there is continuity being lost.
  15. I couldn’t hear the whole conversation, but his mom kept telling him he needs to sleep on his decision.
  16. Newman was leaner and quicker than I expected. Melvin Siani is probably the true backup left tackle if something happened to Goosby in a game, or if he weren't available. Time will tell with Coleman, but multiple OTF sources were high on him coming out of bowl practices and throughout conditioning leading up to spring practice.
  17. I think offensive line fundamentals are lacking at the lower levels of football. Nobody does sled work anymore other than the Crowther sled. I stopped seeing chutes on practice fields about a decade ago. The quality of line play across the board has been declining slowly over the last 10-15 years, IMO.
  18. I want him badly at Texas! 🏈🤘🏻🏈🤘🏼🏈🤘🏈🤘🏽🏈🤘🏾🏈🤘🏿🏈
  19. Talented kid. Really starting to rise nationally in his recruitment. physically has plenty to grow
  20. @Joe Zura still waiting for the dk moore flip
  21. Big X Tha Plug, WR prospect.
  22. You’re not wrong. No update has been given and I don’t suspect we’ll know anything until Texas puts something out
