  1. Past hour
  2. I get what your saying. Yet it's true. It's about the "process" and the bigger issue is most don't know how to plan, install, and run an effective process to reach maximum effectiveness. Failing to incorporate the required systems, individuals, and support structure to manage/ run the process. It's also not a cookie cutter answer to meet each environment. But in the end. I'm willing to bet most, if not all great people, businesses, and sports dynasties have one thing in common....their "process." Herman i again, 💯 agree with you on. Tried to short cut many things and believe his character/ personality traits killed things as well.
  3. And if Sark were to truly buy into doing it that way, I think it would be the best thing for him and Texas. Sark might not want to admit it, but I think his biggest strength as a head coach is assembling a staff and being the CEO. In the current climate of college football, you need a great CEO as head coach more than you need an X’s and O’s genius.
  4. CJ is the only guy in the room with the balls to ask the right question. I would have been even more pointed. I guess Sark isn’t paid enough yet to answer with accountability
  5. Loved it. That quick move up the field was so smooth. Just an effortless athlete all the way through.
  6. He will be a major part of the offense next year.
  7. Today
  8. Jermaine Bishop Jr caught his first career TD and was actually used and targeted more on Saturday than he had been all season prior. I know it’s one guy and all that so it gets lost in the shuffle, but his usage and TD have to be confidence boosts for him. Hopefully we can keep it up.
  9. You shall not question Sark about qb play or play calling
  10. At times, I wish Sark would respond to questions a little more like a coach and a little less like a politician. Especially after losses. Especially after this question specifically.
  11. I hate that cliché, "process". Herman used it all the time. The only process he knew was the pink slip process.
  12. Sark knows football better than most humans. “He is not that sharp” says more about the poster than sark. Sark isn’t arrogant. If anything, he is stubborn. the reality is that neither ewers nor manning are elite QBs. People, me included, ragged on sark for not moving to manning sooner. We’re all seeing why. Ewers was essential in subtly bringing players here to turn the program. Arch was a rain maker when he signed. I think both have the fatal flaw of weak processing. Now Sark is a bit screwed. It’s a lose/lose moving on from arch. It’d probably tank the season unless Lacey is farther along than we know. Other high profile QBs will note sark bailed mid season. It’s a crap sandwich. sark’s failure, and I don’t know this, is not altering his system to maximize arch’s strengths. This is what I don’t get but I have to wonder if he’s tried it in practice and arch still can’t see the field but now there’s fewer blockers so processing flaws are exacerbated. I think the right question would have been how do you improve (or what would you like to see differently on) real time checks and/or last minute audibles when they’re necessary.
  13. 12 personnel and 20 yard crossing routes, bro.
  14. Has nothing to do with this topic.
  15. Up to 6 scholarship players on roster … with pictures!
  16. What is Longhorn process? If you listen to Kirby Smart halftime speech, he focused on Process not score. Process is Physicality. Beat them up, it's war. Muschamp is more like Kirby than Sark.
  17. Population will always produce the most players overall. Just like more 3-stars are drafted than 4's and 5's ... its a numbers game!!! But any thought that Arch struggles are tied to be a small school player are just flat out wrong. I gave you the list with many tremendous QB's ... it's right there if you actually dig deeper. You simply don't have to come from big cities and the biggest schools to be a high level athlete, at any position.
  18. Texas Private Schools since 1980: Gary Kubiak: Houston St. Pius X (Broncos, 1983–91) Spergon Wynn: Bellaire Episcopal (Browns/Vikings, 2000–01) Shedeur Sanders: Cedar Hill Trinity Christian (Browns, 2025–present)
  19. Charlie Strongs was terrible too, I don’t remember Hermans?
  20. I never said playing 6A ball was the only thing AM needed, but it would have greatly helped his mental development. BTW, 5A used to be the largest classification in Texas, so that's why it's included. Obviously, athletic talent and intelligence are needed more than a larger school, but the results speak for themselves. 5A and 6A Qb's from Texas since 1980: Patrick Mahomes: Whitehouse Matthew Stafford: Highland Park (Dallas) Andrew Luck, David Klingler: Houston Stratford Andy Dalton: Katy Jalen Milroe: Katy Tompkins Robert Griffin III: Copperas Cove Chase Daniel, Greg McElroy, Quinn Ewers: Southlake Carroll Shane Buechele: Arlington Lamar Clayton Tune: Carrollton Hebron Tommy Maddox: Hurst L.D. Bell Christian Ponder: Colleyville Heritage Graham Harrell: Ennis Vince Young: Houston Madison Kyle Trask: Manvel Michael Bishop: Willis Ryan Mallett: Texarkana Texas High Trevor Knight: San Antonio Reagan Cody Carlson: San Antonio Churchill Ty Detmer: San Antonio Southwest Koy Detmer: Mission Bailey Zappe: Victoria East Case Keenum: Abilene Wylie John Skelton: El Paso Burges 3A and below: Ryan Tannehill Colt McCoy Kevin Kolb Jarrett Stidham
  21. Sark needs to find his Charlie Weis Jr.
  22. This is what I’ve been thinking as well. Sark has done a lot for Texas and this program. We are in a MUCH better place now than when he got here. Even though he hasn’t won a national title I do believe he’s earned the CEO right. Go out and find that young and hungry OC that wants to make a name for himself and start building your coaching tree.
  23. Im afraid itll click once its too late and we are begging for a chance to make the playoffs. There is alot less pressure once the pressure is gone. It seems once we get that number one spot sark doesnt know how to handle being the top dog.
  24. Since we’re talking about this hypothetically (Sark isn’t giving up play-calling, so this is all moot), I want Sark to think back to when he and Lane Kiffin were at USC with Norm Chow. Sark is in the Norm Chow seat. Who’s the next up-and-coming, cutting-edge offensive mind Sark can elevate to the next level? I want Sark to do something similar to what Kirby Smart has done at Georgia. Mel Tucker, Dan Lanning and Glenn Schumann were all in their 30s when they started calling Smart’s defense and only Tucker had defensive play-calling experience before getting into that role at Georgia. Tucker and Lanning became head coaches after being the Georgia DC and Schumann is on his way. The Texas offense will always be Sark’s offense as long as he’s there. But I want Sark to find the next Sark, let him set the world on fire, take a head coaching job and then bring in the next guy who can follow the same path.
  25. Don't forget all the times we've run the kickoffs 5 yards deep out of the end zone. Add that to the special teams blunders.
