Quick thought without total in-depth scrutiny: Make all student athletes employees of the NCAA, with requirement that they be enrolled at a member university, carry min of 12 hour per semester, making progress toward a degree. Set pay based on university generated media revenue. Then member institutions can add true NIL money opportunities.

Texas hosting a 2026 class OV this weekend BREAKING: Texas is scheduled to host 2026 defensive lineman Elijah Ali (Downey, Calif./St. Pius X) this weekend. Kenny Baker and a Texas staff member were by the high school in early January to watch the 6-foot-4, 285-pound athletic lineman workout, and the were impressed with what they saw. Ali's recruitment slowed down and went the direction of sleeper after he was suspended for the majority of his senior season to due to transfer rules in the state. San Diego State has an offer out the Ali.

Cam said he was 6’4” 258lbs i believe.

Very solid start to the morning! Hall had been very fond of the Longhorns for a few months now and was on commitment watch for the Texas Junior Day on January 17. He was very disruptive in 2025. Hall racked up 10 sacks and 18 tackles for loss at Mansfield Summit. Very solid edge prospect with upside to be a top 100-ish player in the country.

Kenny Baker as well. They work really well together.
