  1. Past hour
  2. The bottom line is every season since Sark has arrived the discipline on this team has deteriorated. Evidence is penalties have gone up every season. Sark is made out to be a quarterback whisperer and offensive guru. Id argue he is neither. QE development wasnt very good, and Arch has been behind where he should be IMO. The offense itself is designed as finesse instead of physical. That leads to thinking Texas will not be a physical unit that can run between the tackles (soft oline non physical rbs). PK and secondary coaches are not on the same page. PK runs a soft defense ( bend dont break nonsense). This leaves his defense on the field for excessive amounts of time, which in turn means the Texas offense has less opportunity to make substantial drives. It also wears out the defensive players after a few games. Dbs are playing beyond the line of gain allowing a ton of first downs. These issues have been an issue for every game this season. UGA just highlighted them. I would also argue that the above has been an ongoing issue for multiple seasons. Teams take on the coaches persona to a degree and by that i would say there is little heart, little fight, and little want to. By no means advocating for wholesale change, however there does need to be some shakeup. Continuity is great if its working, its insane if you continue to have the same issues without addressing them.
  3. With 12 teams and soon to be 16 it is absolutely playoffs of bust. If you aren’t in it you have no hope at a national title. I agree with you completely here!
  4. Glad I went. Walking out amongst their mouth breathing fanbase wasn’t a picnic.
  5. Just as I predicted, Islam by decision 😂
  6. Every season should realistically be CFP or bust for Texas. We have the highest amount of allocated NIL, preseason #1. Instead of us making the CFP, literally all of our rivals will be, including the one who has been ridiculed for playing Moneyball with NIL. This isn’t just a down year for Texas. This is one of the most disastrous years in our program’s history. Like top 5. Maybe even the most disastrous. We are closer right now to Penn State’s fate than Ohio State’s. Not a whole lot of supply of wunderkind head coaches on the market relative to demand if you haven’t noticed.
  7. Last night reminded me a lot of the Tech game in 2022, but with a much better opponent. Kirby rolled the dice ala Joey and ate Sark’s lunch while we struggled to execute the basics.
  8. Yeah...it's bad this year. Starts up front with Flood and the OL. We are late season so the OL should be playing better. Should 🤦‍♂️
  9. Sark’s inner being is set around pass to set up the run (if the pass is successful). He just doesn’t believe in run first and will only go with a run only oriented game plan if we are down to the water boy at QB.
  10. Some of you would never make it in an up and down world of sales much less coaching. You think every season should be natty or bust lol.
  11. Last night, I watched my son and his 10u football team go pull off an upset in the semis down in Houston. Several of them playing sick, including mine. They gave everything against a much bigger and dominant team. The coaches adjusted mid game and won. This is my biggest complaint about Sark. He does not adjust well in games. There's zero consistency. It happens occasionally but rarely in big games and not often enough when losing. He already shot down a coordinator. Until proven otherwise, Sark will win a lot of games and run a clean program, but he won't get a Natty.
  12. If we are running this like a NFL team, why would we continue to pay players high money for lackluster play? We have free agency where we can replace those guys. Will or has Texas lowered a players NIL after year 1, because it needs to happen. I’m an adjunct settlement judge in the Northern District of Oklahoma and will offer my services in these negotiations.
  13. When Sark gets scared and panics he neglects basic run game, relies on the pass then gets exotic with reverses, QB powers etc rather than lining up and taking the 2-4 yards on the ground to keep shorter down and distance and keep moving the chains.
  14. Just the fact that they will all likely be in the CFp while Texas is out is 100000% winning for them
  15. To be fair, it's unlikely Aggie, OU, or Tech wins a natty. We could also still beat Aggie. South Carolina exposed them bad. Georgia is the best team in the SEC and they showed why last night.
  16. One could make an argument that being on the precipice of great but never crossing the threshold to greatness is worse than knowing your bad. Because of the repetitive hope being crushed year in and year out.
  17. I was 100X more hopeful in our program after 2018 than I am currently. TAMU, Texas Tech and OU weren’t all gearing up for national championship runs. This is quite possibly the most disastrous position Texas football has been in in my lifetime. I have never experienced this level of program disappointment while literally all of our rivals still have a chance at a national title with two weeks left in the season. I’m not sure that has EVER been the case.
  18. Yeah. I was 10 years younger and more hopeful back then. Also, back then all we had to do was be good enough to beat OU and Big12 teams. I could see that leap potentially happening in a year.
  19. You woke up. Texas has tons of positive pieces in place. You woke up. Texas still has tremendous resources. You. Woke. Up. All gravy after that. 🤘🏽
  20. 10 years? That includes two Charlie years and four Herm.
  21. Yeah Baber's Boy Akina needs to be kicked out the complex like yesterday😂
  22. Today
  23. is at about a 10 year low. I’m embarrassed and heartbroken
