  2. He’ll call you a name or do the laughing emoji thinking this wins the argument. He is indefatigable.
  3. Pitching has been horrendous but right now the hitting isn't good either, We aren't stringing hits together and advancing runners and are only scoring through homeruns
  4. If no one else enters the portal, my starting five: Breya Cunningham (Center), Maddie Booker (Small Forward), Bri Preston (Point Guard), Isu Itute (Power Forward) and Adison Bjorn (Shooting Guard). That is a great starting five. Isu, though technically a freshmen, has been playing against and with Euro pros for several years.
  5. Well he better tell his pitchers that lol they love to give up free bases.
  6. Today
  7. That's it for Schloss. Texas will look to avoid a series sweep tomorrow at 1 p.m. (SEC Network+).
  8. Schloss said there was talk about pushing the game back because of the weather. At the end of the day, they decided to go with the scheduled start, even though neither coach wanted to deal with a lengthy delay. "Should've been a basketball coach if you don't like the weather," he said.
  9. Gonna put that on the outfield wall next to all the nattys they have…
  10. I’ll give a positive comment - Aiden Robbins is unbelievable and plays his heart out
  11. Schloss on why Texas hasn't been able to string together walks and hits for a big inning this weekend: "A&M is out-pitching us. They're filling the strike zone up."
  12. Schloss also said Cal Higgins' stuff "was better than it has been."
  13. Schloss thought Walls was outstanding today. He liked that they were able to get Winter into the game.
  14. Schloss: "You can't give up free bases and that many opportunities to score."
  15. "Most games are the free bases surrounded by the big hits," Schloss said.
  16. Schloss credits the A&M pitching staff for not giving Texas any free bases.
  17. "That one can obviously be second-guessed a million ways and I understand that," Schloss said.
  18. Schloss said Harrison's drop in velocity was strictly related to pitching after the rain delay.
  19. Schloss said he asked the team getting off the bus at the hotel about how they're going to respond to some serious adversity tomorrow. "We'll find out what their response is," he said. "It's certainly surprising to play your rival and get run off the field like we did today."
  20. "We need to get off to a good start, that's for sure," Schloss said of the pitching plan tomorrow.
  21. Schloss is asked if Grahovac and Sorrell are the best 1-2 punch in college baseball: "Well, I think Tinney and Robbins are pretty good, too."
  22. Schloss on Riojas and Harrison: "I expect them to pitch better and they expect to pitch better next week."
