Completely agree with you. The only reason I could rationalize is if he wanted to stay closer to family. I don’t know his family situation, but maybe he has relatives who would have a hard time getting to his games. Visiting three different campuses in one week, all far from his hometown, might put things into perspective and make staying closer to home feel like the best option. Like you said, he’s going to make money anywhere. I know I might be reaching a bit, but with Alabama’s QB situation, that’s honestly the only reason I can think of for choosing Alabama.

If they GOT both, they’d have one of the best duo of LB’s in the country, and I have a strong suspicion Ty’Anthony Smith is going to ball out this next year.

I’d argue the Cal LB is more needed because he plays Mike, which they don’t even have one of on the roster currently until the Florida St. backer becomes a Longhorn. The Pitt LB is very good! I’m not saying he’s bad. I’d love to have both! But if you asked me which one I’d want Uluave. Ty’Anthony will play the Will/Dime backer in Muschamp’s scheme, but we need a starter-level Mike to play between the tackles. The Florida St backer will likely back up whoever starts at Mike, hence, why Uluave is more important in my opinion.

I still don’t get it. I feel like Cam is just keeping everyone guessing and has already decided where he’s going (and I suspect it’s Texas). His. #1 reasoning for leaving Auburn was qb situation and putting himself in a good position for the draft. Auburn was throwing money at him, so that’s clearly not the biggest concern. He can get $$$$ pretty much anywhere. Why would he choose a completely unproven qb at Alabama? I just don’t buy it.

What kind of pen are they using to sign? That’s the question.
