I think we saw a spray chart after the Florida game - bad percentage completion to the left side. Zero throws beyond the line of scrimmage to the left side against OU. Interesting. -
I don't think the window has completely closed and if it has, I believe it could open again for him...unless their program takes a nosedive or he pulls a Tom Herman. Let's say Cignetti leaves. I can see MC being a candidate at IU. I could see him as a candidate for Wisky if they decide to make a change. I see him more as a fit as a Big Ten coach. I don't see him fitting at an SEC school as much, except maybe Mizzou and OU. And maybe Kentucky. Maybe South Carolina.

College coaching carousel 2025: It's going to be wild

I think Campbell probably missed the boat on getting out - felt like he was the hot name 2-3 years ago. Not saying he still isn’t a great coach, but almost feels like he won’t get a bigger job at this point in his career. -

Agree. Did you see the Bama gym? It looks like they were playing on a high school gymnasium. SMU has a nice facility. -

And yet you'll still get people that complain about Gregory where Texas plays. Compared to many other schools, Gregory is a huge upgrade. It needs some improvement, but hard to compete with the atmosphere. -

All fair. -
They've put lots of guys in the NFL under his term. They are annually a top 25 team. They beat Iowa and beat ranked teams from time-to-time. I like the way their staff coaches and I like their culture...even if it did ruffle our feathers (the truth hurts sometimes). What does whether or not he stays at ISU or whether or not he receives/accepts an offer from other schools have to do with me disagreeing with you calling him a jag?

Never been impressed with him... Seems there is a reason no big program has hired him... I just do not buy he wants to stay at ISU... -
That's another one that could've gone Texas' way.

That Florida State beat down of Alabama seems like it was years ago. I bet Bama would love to have that game back. -

This is the moment when I knew not to be that worried about OU
Lnghrn replied to CHorn427's topic in On Texas Football Forum
Boy the tune changed in 7 days. OU has a damn good defense. Their OL is a problem. Mateer masks some of their running problems earlier in the year and in the passing game he tends to throw balls up for grabs when he’s pressured. Tx A$M has a much improved offense with play makers like Conception and Craver. Plus, their running games was severely limited towards the back half of last year due to injuries. Their backs are back and they can run the ball. Their OL has played pretty good in games I have watched. The challenge for them is the limitations at qb. On defense they have gotten better as the season has gone by. They stabilized their defensive front losses from last year with some good portal additions. They play a lot of press/man coverage. If you can beat it there are big plays to be made. Plus it makes them susceptible to running qbs. Texas A$M will be a tough game, but we still have a bunch to prove between now and thanksgiving. Can we be consistent and continue to improve on offense? Can we stop physical running teams on defense (such as Georgia). -

Me too but the safety was trying to disrupt the snap. Arguably there should have been a penalty on Auburn, but clearly the argument on the TO appeared to be BS the officials are not good -

What to make of that? My feeling (I rarely say feeling because I prefer thought and analysis) was D Cooper should have been pleased with what he witnessed. Hook 'Em! -
