I love this schedule. I love watching longhorn football. I love it even more when we’re playing games that matter, not where the outcome is 99% determined before kickoff. I’d much rather have entire season of meaningful and challenging games to watch than to coast our way through boring cupcake after cupcake for three months just to boost CFP odds. Thankfully we’re not Notre Dame. We’re a top team with the toughest schedule, This is what being a fan is all about. Bring it on!

OTF Premium Sports card talk

I was a long-time collector cards of all things Houston and Longhorn. I remember my Dad taking us to card shows. One in particular I remember was in the Astrodome beneath the outfield seats. I still enjoy going to shows just to see cards that are out there, but mostly I enjoy taking the younger people in the family to them. I crack a lot of smiles watching the kids lose their minds with cards. I stopped collecting cards in the early 2000s when we started having kids. But I had amassed a huge collection prior. During the pandemic I sold off my Rockets and Longhorn collections. But I still have my Astros and Texans-Oilers cards. I am having trouble (emotionally) letting those go. But I told my wife I am having trouble finding a buyer. She seems to believe me...or is pretending to believe thus far.
