Sark eyeing NFL per report
Gerry Hamilton replied to Gerry Hamilton's topic in On Texas Football Forum
It’s the report for Diana Russini -
Only one Candidate & that's Freeman

Talking like that your either trolling or not but if not post the receipts since your so connected

That’s some nice information going into a game we need to win and teams can use for recruiting

Honestly man I would believe in PK if he wanted a shot as a HC. I know it’s not what’s normally done but his defense has been the strength and identity of this program for the last couple of years -
How much do we think this Report pisses off CDC after just extending sark last year?
-
My little opinion is Freeman would be the best fit.

Kiffin + all his offensive staff + Drew Mestemaker + retaining the defensive & special teams staff = see what happens -
Pretty clear this leak wasn’t sark on game day. Her sourcing is likely from the nfl side of things I’m sure sexton has approached nfl teams, doing his job.

This thread aged like… well i don’t even know honestly -
You wouldn't leak this during the season if something wasn't imminent. This is going to be a huge distraction and lowers my confidence for finishing the season strong.

To me it goes (in order) Marcus Freeman. Lane Kiffin. Curt Cignetti. thoughts?

Sark eyeing NFL per report
Quinncent McManning, Jr. replied to Gerry Hamilton's topic in On Texas Football Forum
So what are the possibilities? 1) he is tired of the college crap with nil and donors and recruiting, etc. and just wants to pursue his NFL dreams now.. 2) he has little leverage in getting more money in a crazy coaching musical chairs season, given a subpar performance, and this gives him a little leverage. oh and perhaps 3) jimmy sexton is adding texas as a possible biggests coaching opening, making all other schools pony up even bigger to get their jimmy sexton guys. -

Sad situation. I hope sark can win big here -
Sark has a massive Jimbo-esque guaranteed contract from UT. Would be idiotic for an NFL team to match that IMO. So are we saying Sark is going to take a pay cut and or risk tens of millions to go pro? I don't see how it makes sense on that level. Honestly I don't think it's the worst for UT to get out of his contract at this point. Not smart to do these deals in the NIL era.

Um, because the regular season is still going. Ever see a P4 coach announce he’s going to another school in mid season?

This got me wondering how well Sark did when we was an OC for the Falcons. From a Wiki article (I'm too lazy to fact check it but sounds roughly right): (quote) On February 7, 2017, Sarkisian was hired as offensive coordinator for the Atlanta Falcons, taking over for the recently departed Kyle Shanahan who left to become the head coach of the 49ers. The offense's scoring output, under his guidance, dropped from 33.8 points per game (leading the NFL in 2016) to 22.1 points per game in 2017. In 2018, the offense's scoring improved to 25.9 points per game. On December 31, 2018, he was fired as offensive coordinator. (/quote) Hey, Texas Ex Kyle Shanahan for our next head coach! LOL
