  2. AUSTIN, Texas – Saturday's 12-3 Texas win over Kentucky will be remembered for more than just the Longhorns' 45th overall win and 22nd at Red & Charline McCombs Field this season. It'll forever be remembered as the day senior Mia Scott played all nine positions on the field in a single game. Scott, who appeared in and started her 241st career game on Saturday, was initially penned into Texas' starting lineup as the team's starting third baseman. But, once the Longhorns grabbed a 3-0 lead after the first full inning, the UT coaching staff began to look at the lineup card and wonder what they could do for their fourth-year senior. Three batters into the top of the second, Scott shifted over to shortstop from third base and the run was on. After Texas scored seven runs on six hits in the bottom of the second to take a 10-0 lead in the game, Scott jogged out to second base to begin the top of the third. After the first two outs, Texas softball head coach Mike White came out of the bullpen and rearranged his infield and moved Scott to first base for her fourth different defensive position over the course of the game's first three innings. With a 12-1 Texas lead to start the fourth inning, Scott shifted around all three outfield positions after every out in order to beat the forthcoming five-inning run-rule result and push her defensive position total to seven in four frames. With all 1,355 around the stadium knowing what was happening as the game entered the top of the fifth, Scott was the last defensive Longhorn to take the field as she was putting on the catcher's equipment and went behind the dish as fellow senior Sophia Simpson was in the circle. 3. No worries … they’re only better at hitting and pitching 😎
  4. Gonna have some pulled pork bbq I've been smoking for about twelve hours.
  5. Next up: Lamar isnt a slacker either, maybe a Baylor level squad, better than UTSA and TxSt. Not a lot of HRs, but score 8 runs per game and have the #19 team ERA.
  6. Today
  7. A cold series on offense happens. The hogs are talented and while we had some better swings today, they shut us down completely the first two. The pitching is very concerning. Spencer injury is massive as we already didn’t have the deepest roster. Most of our pitchers have no margin for error.
  8. I was there, and we were just average, just today. Awful day one. pee wee day two. Hard to believe the team I saw this weekend is in first place in the SEC
  9. Gotta go over .500 vs gators and gooners...
  10. What we usually do well, we didn’t. Getting early favorable pitching counts, and laying off bad pitches to get into good hitting counts. It’s annoying it was against the hogs. They are insufferable. With all the pig yelling.
  11. Always turn down TV and turn up Craig. Any sport. Rare exceptions just to get a vibe from a Klatt or Herbie...
  12. I thought I was a little short on the walks . Arkansas pitching outstanding this series.
  13. team looked liked dog crap over the entire series
  14. I think our low batting average in the SEC and problems with depth when injuries occur is showing up. Schloss has said several times that we need more depth. Hopefully he will keep working on that. He has done a great job with this team.
  15. Texas falls to 38-8 overall, 19-5 in SEC play.
  16. A friend of mine says he is about to slit his wrists listening to them.
  17. It's good to see Jalin swinging the bat today. His second home run makes it a 13-8 game with two outs in the top of the ninth.
  18. 32 combined walks and HBP according to the broadcast.
  19. That’s close to 25 walks by Texas pitchers in this 3 game series isn’t it Jeff ?
  20. Homer announcers on the SEC Network+ broadcasts can make road games a tough watch.
  21. Galvan, Flores and Schuessler due up in the ninth.
  22. Davalan grounds into a fielder's choice to end the inning. The Longhorns head to the ninth trailing by six runs.
