  1. Past hour
  2. Too long, didn't read.
  3. How did David Thomas not win it in 2005?!
  4. Nice recognition for Masunas. Getting on the Mackey Award watch list is a good way to start the season, and hopefully he can turn it into a big year.
  5. I mean much much better. OU and Venebles gets a lot of love on the Defensive Side and the stats prove it out. I get it. No problem. Until....you break it down. They played 3 Non Con Games in Illinois State, Temple and Kent State holding them to a combined 6 points. Their 4th Non Con Game was at Home to Michigan giving up 17 points to back foot Bryce and a Coach who got fired. This was the majority of their yearly stat production. They rode that out of the gate performance throughout the year. Not a single turnover until game 5. In SEC play, Auburn 17 points at Home - whose Coach got fired - for a come from behind win. Texas on a sub par offensive unit - working through the OLine woes - gave up huge yards on the ground. Played an unranked South Carolina Team giving up 7 points, probably their best total defense of the year. Ole miss 34 points. Unranked Tennessee 27 points. Mizzou was overrated from the beginning and was a pedestrian game. Bama 21 points and LSU with an interrim Coach gives up 13 points at Home and had to come from behind to win that game. OU Defense is good, don't get me wrong. Venebles, as a DC is good; in fact, really good. But, this Texas defense is Loaded and I put Muschamps on par with Venebles. OU lost a lot to the NFL and I look for a regression this year as there is now tape on Venebles being back at calling plays last year. And oh, one more thing, Venebles back was against the wall last year and if you don't think that played into the results I don't know what to tell you. This is a Texas and UGA conversation. Hook'em!!!
  6. Would be nice if that changed this season.
  7. Season ending injuries always suck for all teams
  8. Today
  9. The OL is also one of their main strengths and I’m sure they can’t afford to lose many other starters.
  10. yea hate this for any kid you only get to play for so long so missing any season is gut wrenching.
  11. Good grief…Mizzou lost to KANSAS that season and didn’t even win their conference that season (Big 8), yet somehow they’re claiming the National Championship in spite of both the AP and UPI recognizing Minnesota as champs (and the Football Writers of America crowned Ole Miss)??
  12. Sucks USC lost their starting center earlier this week as well
  13. Couldn't agree more. Knocking on wood every day.
  14. Brutal. They won't have Arion Carter for the first two games either.
  15. On the offensive side I think hw will be the suprise, especially in the passing game. Texas has too many weapons and itll leave Masunas on a less athletic linebacker. Probably be number 4 in the you worry me area after all 3 wr and a rb. Plus the fact that he is known as a blocker will catch some off guard and itll be easy for Sark to scheme some open looks.
  16. I like it. Hopeful for a big year with Masunas.
  17. Notre Dame should be number 1 and ESPN number 2 (they hate Texas we all know it lol). I did love the self awareness of McGee to call out ESPN. He can go ahead and plan on be the first cut on the next firings 😆
  18. A Texas tight end has never won the award since it was established in 2000.
  19. A list without Brennan Sorsby is not a credible one.
  20. Agreed. Probably one of the worst things that happened in CFB ever. What sticks in my craw though is with how severe these findings were, the NCAA let them off lighter than the death sentence they gave SMU. There seems to be a real crisis in what is deemed important.
