This season and the committee’s actions , even after the fist thing in the bylaws being “SOS” clearly tells us that we should not schedule hard. ND , sucks , but they are smart to do what they do. More times than not, get the easier win and get in. We have been screwed in 2008 and now again in 2025 , different ways but a chance lost both times.

Notre Dame needs Texas more than Texas needs Notre Dame—from strength of schedule point of view. Texas in the SEC with now 9 game season doesn’t need a blue blood OOC team to play against. Plus…Notre Dame Football as an independent doesn’t participate in revenue sharing. Let Notre Dame look for someone else to play with.

I’ll schedule Baylor and win and be in the playoffs. You schedule Osu and ND in the regular season and I’ll save you seats at the Texas bowl

I don’t think it’s the penalties that kept us from going and being back-to-back champions. You could make a strong argument that losing running backs in 23-24 had more of an impact on the team than anything. If I remember right Texas seemed to be the leader in spring 25 for him but he and his camp didn’t appreciate how DK Moore and some others were being prioritized over him and felt pretty disrespected by Texas by the end of his recruitment. That’s at least how I remember it going down

Deboer would be crazy to leave Bama, I get it's an intense place to work but Michigan would be orders of magnitude harder of a job IMO
