Post is the weakness, Cunningham did not impress me much, she missed gimmes and was always late and had to foul. Hence Oldacre always closed games and played the majority of minutes - at least it seemed that way. -
Team 3. VY and Bijan...dynamic and Bijan has good hands...add Huffdaddy and DJ to lay the lumber on D. Davis to stretch the field...

How I Feel About Each Room Post-Spring

CB and Safety are intertwined in a lot of ways. IF D Will / Filsame / Jonah 2 of 3 come back as good or better health wise then you have more flexibility at CB or at least the rotation there. As it sits, there will be a CB or Nickel moved to cover a safety spot. Tons of talent and tons of injury. -

By my count, we will currently have 11 players on scholarship. He normally carries 12. I am sure he is poring over the portal for that one hooper. We need another post player. Currently we have: 2 post players: Brea Cunningham and Lovisa Hose 2 Power Forwards: Isi Etute, Bri Crittendon 2 Small Forwards: Madison Booker and Addison Bjorn (can also play shooting guard) 3 Point Guards: Bri Preston, Grace Prenter, Lizzy Spaight 2 shooting guards: Amalia Holguin and Zya Vann This is a good team but needs more experience off the bench. -

Ok. Thanks for explaining that to me. -
The Saban tree of defense is a base 3-4. DL: NOSE END Tackle Backers: Jack/Will Mac Money Sam 2 Corners, 2 Safeties. If they're in Nickel it becomes DL: Nose Edge Tackle Backers: Jack Mac Money DBs: Star, 2 Corners, 2 Safeties. In Dime, they replace the Money with a DB, they keep the name as the money.

You're right about momentum after winning it all. Coach Elliott for volleyball knocked on the door a ton of times before he finally won one in 2012. Then 10 years later wins back to back. -

100% agree with the second and fourth paragraphs. It may not seem like a big deal, but breaking through and winning it all can change the momentum of your program. This is what might have happened to Mike White and softball if they had not won the natty last season. He's getting criticized but nowhere near the level it would be if they had not won it all. You keep getting close and getting close and not breaking through. That affects the momentum of your program. -
On the defensive depth chart you had 13 positions listed. What are the 11 positions in a base defense? Not necessarily the players names, but the positions. I know it is different on 1st & 10 vs 3rd & 15. But the majority base. Thx.

The Audi Crooks deal is not doing us any favors jacking up the market. But Vic has to pick up some more bigs and some experienced guards. Only a certain type of player can play at Texas under Vic. They have to value defensive effort first and foremost. Vic will never change that. And you got to be able to have the fortitude of being coached hard. Getting Vann was a good get but he needs to get more and I'm not sure why we haven't had any more additions yet. This was the team to win it all this year with the mix of talent and experience. In a lot of ways not winning it all this year, halts the momentum we had with the program. We won't get another run like that for years especially with a generational talent like Booker leaving next year. UCLA was the same way this year but they got to the finish line. Now they have to rebuild as well. Vic won't be able to win it all unless he gets more elite talent. He does fine maxing out what he's got but it's not a coincidence that South Carolina and UConn are legit contenders to win the whole thing every year because their rosters are loaded with 5* talent. SC had nobody leave in the portal this year so they have continuity as well. Can Vic get us to the Final Four again? Probably but Final Four vs winning it all is something not even Vic has ever solved. This ship can change directions fast when you don't have enough veteran leadership keeping the culture in tact. That's what I'm most worried about going into next season. -

So Texas is included in the Big 10 conference for beach volleyball? There's limited information on the beach team.
