Kaydon Finley Disrespects Texas before Selecting Notre Dame
dentonhorn replied to Bevo92's topic in On Texas Football Forum
Wait, you guys are …well is that what he did? I didn’t see it. IF he did throw it on the ground then yes he did disrespect Texas which is different than if it bothers the poster or me ,for that matter, that he did. -

Kaydon Finley Disrespects Texas before Selecting Notre Dame
Bevo92 replied to Bevo92's topic in On Texas Football Forum
Fully appreciate it’s one of the best days of his life. There’s a right way and wrong way to do things in the moment, imo. Ojo was a different level of classless with all the deception beforehand combined with the way he did his announcement. I’m not suggesting Finley comes close to Ojo, just think he could be better, especially given how great of a legacy his dad built at UT. -

Or maybe you’re just that shallow? How deep does it need to be to have class or respect? -
https://apple.news/ABdDMryNCR2i1lZQXwkyZ-A Especially with a legacy, it’s beyond mind boggling to see the classless disrespect for his dad’s Alma mater, who recruited him hard, why would Kaydon throw the Texas hat on the ground? For the hundreds of hours of time and all the money invested by schools in their recruitment, this crap reflects low character imho.

Did I miss the insider notes @Blake Munroe? I didn't find them on a search, but maybe that's on me.

If A&M gets Lamar Brown too then it’ll be so obvious they’re not playing by the rules. Hope the rules commission stops this madness from happening. USC, Miami, and A&M ruining it for the rest of us

Texas hoops recruiting guys ... this is for you
MarkInAustin replied to Gerry Hamilton's topic in On Texas Football Forum
I thought the topic headline was Texas Hoops Recruiting Gays. Well, nothing wrong with that but it is probably the smaller group of Division 1 ready players, and how do we know who they are, anyway? So I read the article. Glad Texas is fishing in a bigger pond and I will get my eyes checked. -

Thanks Gerry! No one comes close to your coverage of Longhorn basketball recruiting. I'm hoping we land Goosby, Ogden and either one of the PGs we are mentioned with or the PF Adkins. I'm thinking we can afford three blue chip level players (Top 60) and even that might be stretching it. The remaining spots will be filled once the season is over and we know who is leaving (NBA, graduation, transferring) with the transfer portal/international players -

They’re going to have to pick a different school for that now since we play by the rules. Maybe just include USC, aggie, Miami

Prayers to all of those impacted by the flooding 🙏 -
Kids love throwing the Texas name around because it gets them more cash from the interested colleges. It’s all agent influenced.

@Gerry Hamilton other than recruiting through the whistle with Malakai Lee does Texas circle back on Zaden Krempin?

I get that you guys could've asked about a million prospects but I was hoping to also hear their thoughts on Beckham Black, Marri Wesley, Chase Richardson and Avery Huston. -
“Texas trying to make it interesting” is inaccurate. It makes it sound like Texas is doing something different. Texas has not changed its offer in 10 days.

No surprise at all. Sark doesn't just offer to get an acceptance. He offers who he thinks has the potential to be a contributing factor in a run for a natty. -

Camp Waldemar Camp Waldemar is a girl’s encampment along the banks of the Guadalupe River in the Texas Hill Country. In the spring of 1984 I was a sophomore in high school playing football and track. One day after practice our QB, a guy named Matt Burns stopped me in the parking lot at school and invited me to a meeting of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) a ministry aimed at players, coaches and officials in the athletic world. I went to the meeting and soon became involved in a Bible study. A few weeks later I signed up for an event called “Weekend of Champions” to be held at Camp Waldemar. My school took about 8-10 athletes and it was to change my life. The last night there, along the tranquil banks of the Guadalupe River, I surrendered my life to Jesus Christ. Our camp counselors included college athletes including two from the University of Texas (OL Greg Wright and Punter John Teltshick). Both of them prayed with me, which was an awesome experience since they were teammates with my brother Russell. Teltshick would become an All-American and spent several years as the punter for the Philadelphia Eagles. Yesterday when I heard of the tragic events in the hill country, it made me think of that special moment in my life. I continue to pray for the families that have lost so much. Jesus please embrace and welcome those little children who were lost Amen
