For a minute I thought I was reading the Onion instead of OTF. Wild! However it shakes out, UNT travelling to Aggie and pulling an App State would be all time epic.

I have more confidence about playing ohio st next year than I did this year.not so much based off who they may or may not have, but bc it’s at home and arch year 2. Likely a night game as well.

No. The non conference looks better. However, FL, Arkansas, Ole Miss will have new coaches even with portal the players will have new system and schemes to learn. Tennessee just replaces Vanderbilt but you do have the extra SEC conference game LSU will be tough but not sure about Missouri.

And if Troy wins Sun Belt, it goes to UNLV if they win MWC. But if Boise wins MWC, then it’s between Duke, Troy and Boise.

Next year is probably tougher. The key will be lessons learned from this year and not making life difficult on ourselves. The big out of conference game is at home.

It's a stretch but the precedent is there. TV money is a big deal. Now they have an excuse to bring in Texas eyeballs. Do I think they'll drop Ole Miss? No. We unfortunately lose out to the ridiculous G5 auto bid between 2 teams with HCs leaving. BYU or Miami getting in over Texas is a travesty.

I think ND should be forced to join a conference. Otherwise they are no different than a non power 4 schedule wise that gets in just because they won their conference or beat 1 playoff contender. It should be setup that the top 12 or 16 in the future get in. No conference champion gets in that is not ranked in top 12 or 16. If you don’t fix that no team will play a marque matchup in the preseason. I think they should do away with conference championship all together.

Wonder if it’ll top Kiffins return to Tennessee a few years ago. He may have to dodge more than golf balls this time.

I can say this … DeBoer is pretty miserable at Bama per someone I trust.

If Duke wins the most likely scenario is James Madison(Sun Belt) and UNT/Tulane winner(AAC) get the auto bids.
