Texas wins out and we in the playoffs screw the SEC CG
-
great summary @Jeff Howe! This will be the ultimate re-match following SEC title game loss for Texas last season. OU/Bama a close second but it has to be in Athens this weekend. Sticking with my prediction as everything lining up perfectly. Georgia just dominated team Texas barely escaped. Georgia gonna be feeling itself and Texas bout to bring its most complete game of the season as Sark has finally figured out how to call plays for Arch to maximize and stay upright with this OL. RBs and WRs peaking at right time/. Texas - 30 Georgia - 20 Hook em!!🧡🐂🤘🏼

It’s not that difficult. Play around with the scenarios calculator, which I have been using since our last year in the Big 12: https://bball.notnothing.net/bracket_cloud.php?conf=secfb If Ole Miss, Alabama and Texas win out, Texas is NOT playing in the SEC championship game. Ole Miss and Bama are. Texas can win out but will also need help to make Atlanta. Peter Burns (SEC Network) has also discussed and posted about scenarios.

I refuse to believe sark hasn’t been looking forward to this game since after the OU game. I’m hoping to see the Alabama 2023 gameplan. Quick passes. Get the ball out early . Let your playmakers work. Take the deep shot when you need to. Sarks about to empty the clip in Athens . If our defense comes to play, especially the secondary Texas can win this game . For the love of god tackle in space and no busted coverages.

An equally pertinent question is how did we beat Kentucky and MSU? The truth is we are a very talented team who has been terribly inconsistent and has not been very good for much of the season. I think we are lucky to have the record we do at this point and still have our goals intact. This week, I agree fully, will show us the real picture. We can only depend on ourselves. - Today

If Cincinnati wins out, they'll be the 2 seed for the Big 12 Championship. Then we want Tech to win big. That will be enough to keep BYU and Cincinnati out of the CFP.

I feel like if a g6 team isn’t ranked they shouldn’t get a spot. I feel like the rules specifically state ranked where as if none this year are ranked they shouldn’t be part of the tournament -
This is correct. The committee indicated this with quite a few 2 loss teams over current 1 loss teams in the ACC.

Check out the bracket and the first round games. Not exactly a fun postseason destination https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/46896073/projecting-college-football-playoff-top-12-week-11 -
Depends on what offense we run. If we run Sarks traditional offense that’s more compact and tight you can do both effectively because it’s easier to do so. If he’s running the more spread offense that he ran vs Vandy which fits our personnel better it’s harder for teams to simulate the pressure because they can’t disguise it as well

Better chance a 3 loss team gets in this morning than starting the day Saturday. ACC should absolutely be a one big league. And the Big 12 should be too. Utah having losses to both Tech and BYU is key there IMO. They can’t get to the B12 title game unless BYU goes in the tank Good developments for the SEC getting a 5th team in yesterday -
During the bye weekend, I kept hoping someone ahead of us would get knocked off. It didn't happen. Our loss to Florida is the arrow that remains stuck in our arm. How did we lose to that team? Now we have to win out. Georgia is beatable, but we can't allow their quarterback to throw all over the field which he likes to do. He has a gunslinger mentality. If our defense comes to play, unlike the 4th quarter with Vandy, we should be good. Now we enter the final games to see what we are made of and how we handle adversity. Let's go!

Its not difficult. Tiebreaker 1 - head to head. We would own that over tamu. And we dont have a head to head with ole miss Tiebreaker 2 - record against like opponenets. We wiuld tie ole miss. (Both 1-1 against UGA and florida) Tie breaker 3 - highest ranked common opponent win. This would be UGA. And in this hypothetical - texas beats uga. So we would be in.
-
Ole miss has a loss to uga. If we beat uga that would give us the tie breaker over ole miss

Georgia is lacking on the DL compared to last year, their LB's are still good but not as good as last years group. Two of their guys had like 8-9 of their 13 sacks against us. Secondary for them is a weak point and banged up. They also lost one of their best DL for the season last week, I believe. In saying that, Kirby Smart is a great coach, despite what people think of him and he'll have something dialed up to get his team over the hump and make it difficult. I'm not worried about what they've done so far, compared to what they'll do against us. Plus it's in Athen's, we haven't played well on the road this year at all. We're a Stoops bad decision and miraculous come back from being 0-4 on the road this year. I truly hope things have turned the corner, but we'll see. They got a week to get everyone rested and healed up, which will help, imo. I also think they have the current best group of OL out there right now, just a shame it took them this long to figure it out. Moving Milwee back to the booth seems to have helped Sark stop forcing something that isn't working.
