  1. Past hour
  2. I remember when we didn't have a chance against Nebraska in the first Big 12 Championship game. Also, we were going to get plowed under by Southern Cal and their 2 Heisman winners.
  3. Film guy says that the coaches he is hearing from are giving different reasons. I don’t think many are giving us a chance in this game. We need to go punch them in the mouth and shock the football world
  4. Yes, I have. Anything can happen but an honest and true evaluation does not lead one to believe Georgia will kill Texas. I am not a true believer in the Texas Oline, but a true analysis would reveal that Brooks was the weakest link. Go figure. It was reported here that he had no work at G prior to being inserted. I don’t anticipate a great rushing performance but that’s not needed if we work our passing game appropriately. It is a smaller sample but no one has picked Texas apart when at full strength. Not Ohio State. Not OU. And of the lesser teams - not SJSU. So we shall see on that front. I’m not sure Georgia has seen a front capable of creating pressure like Texas. Kentucky had success, but 13 points. This Texas is likely its healthiest all season. There’s a good chance this is the most equipped OLine we have had all season. The Oline, QB, WRs have had 3/4 of a season to see what defenses will throw at them. We shall see.
  5. I haven't heard anything about this guy this season. I know who he is behind A Hill. Is he doing well behind the scenes. I thought he might take over at middle next year with Ant Hills probably departure to NFL. Any mods have any scoop on him? Wasn't he a composite 5 star?

  6. NFL also took over Thanksgiving evenings with triple header.
  7. I know there are pretty girls that go to that school but Baton Rogue is an armpit. Don't get the draw to that school.
  8. So… what happened to Thursday night college football? This used to be a thing!!! Like, a real weekly ritual — a big-enough stage that you’d plan dinner around it, flip on ESPN, and watch some random ACC or Big East game that somehow felt important because it was the only show in town. Now? Crickets. One MAC game here, a stray C-USA game there, but nothing that feels like appointment viewing. I know the NFL muscled in, I know coaches hate short weeks, and I know TV networks reshuffled the whole calendar… but still. For a sport that clings to tradition, it’s wild how quickly we all pretended Thursday nights never mattered.
  9. Today
  10. Say what you want about Schloss (and it better be good), but the guy has a PhD in building middle infields. Wherever he goes, the shortstop and second baseman play like they’re auditioning for a fielding clinic video. Smooth hands, great turns, zero panic. It’s been his calling card forever.
  11. Yes it is… le sigh. Hopefully, we play them the same intensity and focus we played OU and OSU
  12. unfortunately all of this is true
  13. We tend to show up in shock the world moments. Doesn’t mean we always win, but we come to play and hold our own. Too much talent and this version of the program has culture too.
  14. Have you seen Texas play this entire year - other than against Vandy? I predicted Georgia 34 - Texas 17/ Texas is weak on the OL and won't be able to run on Georgia (we haven't been able to run on anyone). That will allow them to pick their pressures/coverages to confuse Arch. Texas has been picked apart by lesser QBs and Stockton can scramble and hit the short throws. They can nickel and dime their way down the field if they want. You still have to play the game, but it's not surprising someone thinks Georgia will kill Texas...
  15. Arkansas AD Hunter Yurachek will be the new chair and Utah AD Mark Harlan has been added to the committee in replacement of Mack Rhoades.
  16. That’s honestly the vibe I feel right now. It’s up to Sark to get these guys dialed in and ready to punch Georgia in the mouth repeatedly over four quarters.
  17. Any rationale as to why they believe that?
  18. Two college assistants told me they believe the same. We shall see!
  19. LSU is putting on an all-time clown show right now, and it has nothing to do with on-field play calling. From the messy coaching search to the way they handled Brian Kelly’s exit, it’s hard to find anything that resembles competence in Baton Rouge. The “presidential search” looked less like a real process and more like a performance to justify a hire that was already decided. Meanwhile, the Brian Kelly situation has gone from bad to completely unbelievable. LSU is now arguing he wasn’t officially fired after the A&M game and is suddenly trying to label it a “for cause” firing — months later — to dodge a $50M buyout. Never mind that they publicly framed it as a performance issue at the time. This is the kind of chaos that scares off top coaches. How do you convince an A-list candidate to take the job when the school can’t even agree on who had the authority to fire the last guy? Or when they’ll rewrite the timeline on a termination after the fact? Someone will take the LSU job — it’s still LSU — but the way they’re handling things is doing real damage to the brand. Coaches want stability, clarity, and a department that honors its contracts. Right now LSU is offering none of that. At this point, the only consistent thing coming out of Baton Rouge is confusion.
  20. https://youtu.be/1YpDmTEErdg?si=4RV_MS60JPHtqaEf Brooks Austin says his phone is blowing up with messages from the coaching world saying Georgia is going to steamroll us. Time for Texas to prove them wrong. Hook ‘em!🤘
  21. I’m not sure my ticker could take that. Imagine a late TD by Georgia and they go for 2 to win 29-28 and we stop them. Woof.
  22. Texas wins 27-24. Texas runs for just enough yards to keep Georgia LBs honest. Hopefully, we play a clean game and don’t give the officials a say in the final outcome.
  23. 27-21 Texas. We score a non offensive TD at some point
