  1. Past hour
  2. This is true, but there's a way to ask without being too confrontational immediately after the game. Guys are still amped.
  3. Ha! No, Roy, because I don’t spend my time or energy “worrying” about my hobbies like watching football or 21 year old kids that aren’t mine.
  4. Does seem like whack a mole. 2019 LSU defense was sufficient and peaked at the right time. But 2020-2024 was bad for sure. LSU’s resume is the most inflated in the country right now imo. They’ve benefitted from wins over 2 of the most overhyped teams in the preseason, who clearly have offensive issues. UGA looks better to me for sure off of the Tennessee win.
  5. You just had DJ Lagway throw 5 interceptions and only scored 20 points at home. A week after you scored 23 points against Louisiana Tech. It was a legitimate and valid question and Kelly had no right to blow up on the dude like that. The biggest issue I see is a lot of coaches think the media and reporters asking them questions should be fanboys and bow down after every game.
  6. He has Neal Brown on staff. Not sure what he’s doing though.
  7. They’re the #3 team in the country. They’re getting credit. Very arguably too much credit.
  8. I doubt it would ever happen, especially not midseason, but I wish Sark would swallow the “offensive guru/quarterback whisperer“ label long enough to bring on a fresh voice in the Coach‘s office, if not the locker room. Super Dave stated elsewhere that carrying head coaching duties and offensive coordinator duties may be too much for any one person to accomplish in modern college football. I agree. I know he is older but what about giving Norv Turner a call? Or what about any number of options known to the Manning family and so forth. It seemed to stabilize the defense quite well when Greg Robinson came on spur of the moment in 2013 after the Manny Diaz struggles. I know a big part of the offensive trouble as a whole is a struggling Arch Manning but that is not the majority of it in my opinion. I think Sark might be a little lost in how to proceed. I don’t think it would be an admission of failure on his part to bring someone on. On the contrary, I think it would show some backbone.
  9. What test?
  10. Basically true. They haven't beaten anyone currently ranked. They can't run. Nuss is hardly top notch. Kelly should have followed the spoiled comment by telling them they simply don't know what they're talking about.
  11. With Sam Houston game coming up then 2-weeks before Florida, that gives our boys 3 weeks to turn things around. The optimist in me wants to believe Option 3 has 50% chance, given number of high character guys in the team. Hoping Sark has light switch moment over next several weeks and gets his mojo.
  12. These LSU games look like vintage Les Miles type of victories. Suffocating defense but 3 yards and a cloud of dust on offense. Compare that to LSU teams from 2019-2023. High flying offenses and defenses that couldn't stop a nosebleed. It seems so hard to have both an elite offense and elite defense in the same season now. If you fix one side by changing defensive staff and using the portal, the other side of the ball suffers and vice versa. Some of that is because by the time the weaker side is fixed, the players that made the stronger of the two units so good are off to the NFL or out of eligibility.
  13. i liked this from Kelly. Media acts like they know it all but he is right give the kids credit for a SEC win.
  14. Today
  15. Kelly's right and he's too sensitive as well.
  16. Kelly calling the reporter “spoiled” like the media is supposed to root for the program and their success. It was a completely valid question. LSU has scored 17, 23 and 20 points through 3 games despite returning of the best QB’s in the country. Their rushing game is an averaging awful 3.7 yards per carry.
  17. I know of more instances of it in the NFL, but, yes. Kirby runs both. He doesn't call every play, but he consistently overrules.
  18. Next game will be Wed night 8pm vs TCU on ESPNU
  19. Harbaugh gave it up mid tenure at Michigan and they were having real problems. He had co-coordinators his last two years but play calling was very much under his control as he interjected regularly.
