  1. Past hour
  2. A lot of our depth are true freshman. Give them a little time to grow. Sark doesn’t ho deeper than 4 or 5 in his circle of trust. Our receivers don’t seem like a problem to me if they can stay healthy. I am hoping Moore comes back for his senior season personally.
  3. The depth we hardly use? We have a lot of good or above average WRs, we don’t have a single great WR. I am of the position that we should go all in next year with extra NIL to make a run for a national championship with a year older arch. That means every position should be on the table to improve the team.
  4. It needs to start with building a first rate, dominating O'line. Do that and the the running backs, receivers and Qb all get better.
  5. This part of that comparison is largely ignored. Competition. Until we hit the playoffs last year, our opponents offensive skill talent, continuity and scheme was pretty weak. And actually their talent upfront was pretty mediocre too. I’d even say with Clemson you’ve seen their reversion to the mean this year so their talent was not overwhelming. AsU had a young QB and were missing their top WR. Georgia had good talent, but their WR were not consistent. OSU was likely easily the best from a talent and consistency standpoint. Then injuries. 2023 had Watts out quite a bit. Barron was out some then less than 100% effective. This year, Manny being out versus OU was a big deal. And obviously Taaffe the past two games and McDonald the majority of the last one.
  6. We need to quit playing soft in the back end with our alignments. We have big physical corners and we need to get them playing closer to the LOS. This doesn’t inhibit us from playing zone either. When there is a 3rd and less than 5 we shouldn’t be 8-10 yards off the LOS. I understand bend and don’t break but when you have the opportunity to get off the field, get off the field and don’t give up an easy pass for a 1st because of your alignment. Regarding Georgia, id caution against being dismissive of their pass rush based on season results.
  7. Thanks @CJ Vogel! Great stuff. I stick with my prediction. This win at Georgia next Saturday tops Bama on the road in 2023 with Texas winning 30-20. The win would be even more special because of all that’s led up to this point and the struggle our Horns have fought through as a team. Between the OU and the Vandy win were 2 incredible ‘culture wins’ that showed true Texas Fight. If we upset #5 Georgia with a dominating 10pt win on the road, it becomes clear, Texas is on the rise and peaking at the right time!! A&M won’t know what hit em in 3 weeks. Hook em!! 🤘🏼🐂🧡
  8. Makes sense, he ran from the SEC and now he wants to run from the Big 10 lol.
  9. Today
  10. It was more than Friday night on the field performance, unfortunately.
  11. Yes. They made room for Micah Smith
  12. 100% agree. The most frustrating part of the 2023 defense has returned in 2025
  13. Has Santana Wilson seen any playing time?
  14. Eh, they’ve been up and down. Florida and Auburn held them in check fairly well.
  15. Does anyone against Georgia? Lol. Maybe only when they play Bama.
  16. Probably wouldn’t call holding
  17. Yeah, but we said the same thing about the Kentucky and MSU defenses, both of which hammered Arch. Hopefully Sark and Flood figured some things out last week that will carry through against a Georgia D that clearly has problems creating havoc.
  18. My main concern is the soft zone coverage will give up easy throws to Branch and allow him to work in space. With our pass rush we should be playing tighter coverage given the qb has limited time to get the ball off. It will allow for more defensed passes and more ints. Perhaps we give up a big play, or two, but allowing teams to have easy completions makes it too easy to keep the chains moving for the offense.
  19. I’m worried about the speed of Branch. Brennen Thompson caused some problems for us against Miss St. Pass rush needs to make it tough on Stockton to let those plays develop
  20. Sad to hear, but we don’t know anything about these players outside what we see during games.

  22. Jaimeon Winfield and Mark Bowman. Winfield might bite if Riley leaves but Bowman probably stays no matter what if the NIL deal he got this summer holds up. Plus Texas is in a good spot with their TE room, especially if Endries comes back next season.
