  1. Past hour
  2. the time-out clap was spot on...nice work...
  3. Texas is now top 10 in the country in turnover margin at +1.00 per game. 12 takeaways this season ranks 11th in the country.
  4. I'm disappointed in Auburn fans for not throwing something.
  5. I didn't realize when it first happened how close Jelani McDonald came to a pick-six.
  6. Another cool nugget is that this is the first time in 10 years Texas beat Oklahoma wearing burnt orange. Also the first time in 16 years Texas has one in back to back years.
  7. Texas is tied for 24th in the country with 16.0 sacks and that is with 0.0 sacks combined against Florida and Ohio State...
  8. What happened with the left? One pass! I hope they aren't falling into a predictable pattern and hope they might be setting up the next team.
  9. I think this was 3rd and 5, because I remember thinking Arch chose the difficult throw over running for what was likely an easy first down. It also shows on tape if the defender come early to prevent him for running, he will make them pay with chunk plays. Arch is on his way.
  10. Texas was 10-17 on third downs against Oklahoma, who was the No. 1 3rd down defense in the country coming into the game Saturday. Oklahoma had previously allowed just 12 3rd down conversions on 59 attempts. Huge day for the Texas offense. After the first three third down attempts, where Texas was 0-3 and averaged 21.7 yards to go for a conversion, the Longhorns then averaged 6.5 yards to go on their next 14 third downs. Huge improvement.
  11. Don’t show this to CJ
  12. Arch Manning's passing chart. 3-3 passing on throws over 20-yards. Love seeing that.
  13. I like this thread a lot. Good work CJ.
  14. This angle is fantastic. What a throw. Additionally, i think the Longhorn WR group and Arch Manning are really starting to click on scramble drills here. Encouraging facet of the pass game over the last two weeks. Stay for Trevor Goosby washing down the left side of the OU DL… phew!
  15. CJ, we welcome you back with open arms like the prodigal son.
  16. Not so fast buddy. Do you not remember Gerry picking the Aggies last year I still give him hell to this day. You think I am letting you off the hook that easy? πŸ˜‚
  17. Another strong chip off the edge, this time from Daylan McCutcheon. David Stone vs. DJ Campbell was a fun battle. This time a bull rush from Stone gets under Campbell and he is pushed into the pocket as a result Manning dances up and through the pocket with strong footwork and delivers a strike to Wingo. First down.
  18. Not bad from the biggest recruiting flop of all time
  19. Couldn't be more excited to move onto Kentucky week!
  20. This is a fantastic play from Arch. But I also want to highlight the chip block from TE Jack Endries on Jayden Jackson on the edge. Goosby is able to very easily subdue his pass rush as a result and Manning is able to take the corner and find a man running across the field. That’s a tough, tough throw right there.
  21. No John Mateer ???πŸ‘€πŸ‘€πŸ‘€
  22. Wanted to carry over the conversation from Twitter to the board for a number of different moments, stats and film studies on Saturday. This will be a new thread going on each day and I hope you all join me in extending dialogue in a positive way. ***
  23. 3 Stars of the Game following the Longhorns' 23–6 victory over the Sooners in Dallas. *** Star No. 1. – CB Malik Muhammad What a return to the field it was for Malik Muhammad on Saturday. The two interceptions were clearly the headline, but Muhammad was nails otherwise. Muhammad added another pass breakup and a tackle for loss to his tally on the afternoon. We talk about players taking the jump in their contract year, well, Muhammad is doing exactly that. We saw how the perception of a true CB1 can help the Texas defense a year ago, hopefully it will do the same in 2025 with Muhammad moving forward. Star No. 2 – RB Quintrevion Wisner Something about playing against the big rivals that turns Wisner into an all-world running back. Baxter is 3-3 as a starting running back eclipsing 100 yards from scrimmage against Oklahoma and Texas A&M in his career, and his effort on Saturday was desperately needed. The Longhorns found a solid bit of rhythm with the outside zone game and Wisner's vision and patience was tremendous. Five receptions for 34 yards as well. Star No. 3 – PR Ryan Niblett A moment that will be replayed time and time again in this series moving forward put the exclamation point on this football game for the Texas Longhorns. What a moment for Ryan Niblett, what a moment for Jeff Banks' unit and what a moment for the Longhorns and their fans on Saturday. HM1 Colin Simmons: 2.5 sacks, and a career high number of sacks, Simmons has quietly put together a very solid season through the first half of the year. HM2 Arch Manning: The box score isn't the prettiest, only 166 pass yards, but Arch was nails on 3rd downs and tremendous throwing under pressure. How about being pressured 25 times and taking just one sack. He is growing up right before our eyes.
