  1. Past hour
  2. Let's be real here. It's a huge red flag and the most important thing. It's not like we are at a 50% hit rate on our main targets at positions of need. It's 0%. And it's clearly not NIL. This sample size points to a real problem in the org. It's one or a combo of the following: - we aren't prioritizing the right targets: Brand Harris's fault. - we are convincing the players to sign: coaches and Brandon Harris's fault. Sure, we can point to other schools struggling in the portal but not everyone is going 0'fer on their main targets, they are having some level of success. And for a school like Texas that has a huge NIL backing, the hit rate like this is unacceptable. There can't be excuses at this point for Texas coaches and staff. Either you can handle portal recruiting or you need to get out of the program.
  3. I don’t think it’s that concerning. Michigan just hit a HR with Whittingham. If they chose poorly we’d have probably got them.
  4. I love you the most producer Matthew
  5. Would agree if they went elsewhere as opposed to staying home.
  6. What they are doing isn't any different than most programs. Look at the numbers teams like LSU, Georgia, Bama are bringing in from the portal. They won't be fully utilizing the 105 scholarships either.
  7. I 100% agree with this. If we can’t convince guys to want to play for Texas without significantly overpaying them, then it’s clear we don’t have good recruiters on staff.
  8. That's even more concerning. They don't want to come here so badly that some are turning down significantly bigger offers?
  9. I thought Brunner had all but committed to Indiana
  10. yeah grad transfers can go then. just a wild ass guess but that's when I expect an experienced depth QB to be added tbh
  11. IT is reporting Brunner is visiting today. Idk if that’s true. I trust this site much more.
  12. Atleast Now we know early on which team will be caught holding the bag 🤷🏻‍♂️
  13. Seems like we are less focused on retention, we might intentionally carry fewer scholarship players to have more money to fund the 2-3 deep directly. Less money on developmental guys than in the past. Which probably means bigger portal needs going forward. It seems like a step towards the Indiana/Ole Miss philosophy or an NFL philosophy. Since most of us think we were just 3-4 players away last year (RB, 2OL, and maybe a true no.1 WR), this is a relatively aggressive strategy of change more than a tweak. The guys have been saying all-in and this change does seem aggressive not cautious. And it's on top of letting PK go. Can't say it's bad or good yet IMO.
  14. I realize a very select % are grad transfers, but can they still transfer in spring?
  15. In a way, that's also very concerning.
  16. One thought to throw out there. Texas has not lost a big game target because the money was not right. In most cases, they left money on the table and returned to their schools. That money is still in our pocket and available for plan B. It is gonna be alright folks.
  17. If they enter by the deadline they can enroll or commit anytime before next season.
  18. 1/2 to 1/16. Do players just have to have entered window by 1/16? On 1/17 and beyond, if you haven’t found a team can you still sign after 1/16?
  19. Need to lure that big BYU back from El Paso.
  20. What is the experimental change they implemented?
  21. I don’t like this laid-back attitude, to be honest Texas had a head start with NIL and the first few years of the portal we could get who we wanted. Now plenty of other teams have caught up and we let 4 seasons of 2 5 star quarterbacks with elite defenses pass us by.
  22. Basically looking for Joe Bergeron type back?
  23. There’s an intriguing RB out of Kentucky with a big frame Donte Dowdell that catches my eye. But looking into it he’s transferred twice in 2 years.
