Thanks for joining us here at OTF! My wife is an Aggie too, but thankfully she doesn’t root for them. Unlike most of our subscribers, I actually like Joey (although not a huge fan of his collegiate antics), but one of my best friends is a Tech alum and I love giving him hell when they lose. Arkansas I just can’t get on board with. Regardless, again, thanks for joining the site! We hope you enjoy your time here and our constant growing community truly is one of the best aspects of this place. While OTF is obviously full of Texas fans (except @Joe Zura… he has Oregon blood in his veins), it’s also full of people who just love football (amongst other sports). No matter who we all root for, one thing is for sure… we are ALL glad college football is back.

I need to start jogging (and working out) around that time daily. I usually jog Indian Creek area by my house mid-day, but I feel like I need to start doing more exercise early AM. And yes, hard to believe it’s here!

How good is football season? If your team has any expectations at all, it’s miserable. This isn’t fun nor should it be. Stakes are high and in the game of gridiron you win or die. There is no middle ground.

I will say, I saw someone doing game simulations for our schedule this year on youtube. You can watch them, they simulate the whole game. They've done up till week 10 vs Vanderbilt. So far the results are as follows: Week 1 vs Ohio State 34-28 W Week 2 vs San Jose State 27-7 W Week 3 vs UTEP 47-7 W Week 4 vs Sam Houston 41-9 W Week 6 vs Florida 31-24 OT W Week 7 vs Oklahoma 30-20 L Week 8 vs Kentucky 20-17 L Week 9 vs Miss State 15-3 W Week 10 vs Vanderbilt 37-17 W

I'm predicting 16-0, heisman winner. Don't make me take off my burnt orange glasses yet, okay? Lol. Realistically though, I could see us going 9-3 or 12-0. I think Gerry mentioned it earlier, the health of this team will determine how far they go. Otherwise I think our D can hold up against anyone, but will the O be of better help for them this year? Not go missing for large chunks of games? Will the special teams play be improved, as it's dropped off in the last couple of years? That's all stuff we need to see. I'd like to see Coach Banks getting after teams again on punts, etc. I do believe Boomauster will help with field position and maybe flip some of the fields for us, which will help our D more and let them pin their ears back and get after it. Hoping Shipley can be better with FG's, I've no idea what happened with Auburn in 2024 but we can't have that happen again. Edit: Forgot to mention how cool it was to see you guys all in the same video lol. Thought it would be more chaotic but it was actually really enjoyable.

I think Ohio State is going to be a bloodbath of sorts on both teams. For Texas in week two, I just want to see an offense that looks cohesive and a defense that is relatively healthy.

I would wish the Raiders luck but my heart isn't in it after the way Coach McGuire bad mouthed us as we were leaving the Big 12. Go Sun Devils! Hi all, Joined OTF today just to keep up with my hometown team (I’m a Raider, wife is an Aggie, two Red Raider kids and another that’s starting her second year at Arkansas). Love seeing the ascension of Texas Football and pulling for them and the Razorbacks while hoping my Red Raiders don’t sh*t the bed.
