  1. Past hour
  2. 1st HALF: WR screens or QB designed runs on Cam Coleman's side NO MORE... WAY TOO WEAK at the point of attack when trying to block. We ran the ball the best in 11 personnelle and Nick Townsend is the best blocking TE on the team. Fade route to Cam Coleman to end the half instead of a back shoulder front pylon throw is reminiscent of AD and Quinn against Washington smh. 2nd HALF: If we want to run wide receiver screens we need a TE out wide not Cam Coleman (exhibit A is first play of the second half) --> could be a tell to the Defense though. First DRIVE 3 and out (2:21:19) 3rd and 9. Venables called the blitz and Sark with the interesting playcall of not having a single crosser or anybody running in the middle of the field or a hot outlet/check down (raleek was blocking). Second DRIVE 3 and out (2:35:04) 3rd and 2. Play action, Arch rolls to his right. Everyone is covered tight, Arch has a lineman pressing and goes for the throw to Townsend who was behind the first down marker and well covered instead of juking that big ol D-lineman and pickin up the 1st down with his feet. Also had Smothers wide open which would've been a tough but makeable throw although smothers didn't seem too interested in being a receiver rather a decoy during the play. Third DRIVE 3 and out (2:50:11) 3rd and 1. 12 personnelle, trying to run it down the throat of OUs defense. Failed. Purely out physicaled. Fourth DRIVE 3 and out (3:05:10) TIpped ball on hitch route, holding penalty, pass that was behind, 4th and long. Fifth DRIVE 2nd and 13 PICK 6 (3:16:23) 11 personnelle!! good outside zone run --> 2nd and 3. Holding penalty --> 2nd and 13 --> PICK 6 ARCH! Sixth DRIVE TD drive (3:20:55) first 3rd and 5 Mosley is super QB friendly and finds green grass when Arch scrambles out the pocket. --> 10 personnelle. Arch great throw down the field to Cam --> 10 personnelle slant to Bishop TD Seventh DRIVE (3:36:42) ARCH's best drive. Drive stalled when OU showed blitz from 2nd and 4 and we still ran it and lost 5 yards. --> leads to the 4th and 2 decision to kick it by Sark. Eighth DRIVE (3:49:50) ARCH 2nd PICK. On the interception, Sark's play had no receiver crossing the middle when when the defense SHOWED BLITZ (recurring theme). THEY BLITZED! no options but COLEMAN who had poor separation + throw under duress INSIDE instead of to the BOUNDARY. Nail in the coffin. Theme: OUTphysicalled, inconsistent QB play, David Stone wrecked out interior, costly penalties. I think Derrick Cooper and Nick Townsend got reinjured because they weren't featured much of the second half. -- During all those consecutive 3 and outs the camera panned to Arch on the sideline with Connor Robertson and they were smiling and laughing enjoying the product they've been displaying. Then he wasn't so happy at the end after throwing the nail in the coffin INT. I love the kid but he isn't playing as inspired as he was last season from the Mississippi State game and on. -- Sark didn't have a bad day but he had bad moments and those showed when we had ZERO answers to the blitz and how we COULD NOT read it or pick up on it is mind blowing.
  3. Sark is not going anywhere because he has the potential to be a great HC. He just has to become the CEO and hire a competent staff. He still has the same OL, TE, and QB coach he started with, and their production has been mediocre at best. It's up to CDC to convince him that he needs to make changes before he is run off in a few years.
  4. Allegedly Elliot thinks he has the formula for the future and insists that he knows what he's doing (sound familiar?). He refuses to play Swindle (won a championship her freshman season) for whatever reason. The setter is the QB. Binney is no better at setting than Swindle, is significantly shorter so the the opposing teams just hit right over her when she's in the front row (where Swindle is a legitimate blocker) and the team lacks fire. Additionally, many fans have commented that Elliott looks like he's checked out on the sidelines, Spears looks like she's checked out as well. The last few years have seen highly recruited players surprisingly transferring out (Ames & Whit for example) who are doing well at their new schools. Like someone said earlier, it really seems like Elliot is like Mack Brown post 2009 where he seems to just be coasting on the laurels of his previous success and doesn't seem to have the same passion for his job.
  5. I agree. This is the problem. Sark needs to fire himself as OC, his QB coach, his OL coach, and his TE/OT. Clean house. Be the HC. Hire a top-5 OC and QB whisperer and let him help you pick your OL coach and TE coach. You have a really good RB and WR coach, so keep them, but clean house everywhere else on the offensive staff. They ain't getting it done. Don't be Fred Akers or Mack Brown and get yourself fired because you wait too long to make a changes.
  6. Yesterday
  7. And injuries! He was hardly ever 100% healed. He was a warrior though played through it all!
  8. Sark needed to have an outlet for Arch . Instead of max protect with our small backs slip one out to the opposite side of the blitz . Stupid okay calling pits Arch in impossible situations . He still made a bad decision, but he’s pressing to make Sarks stupid downfield plays work, when there is an obvious blitz and no hit route and no way to check out into another play .
  9. It’s almost like… maybe… sark is not the offensive genius we think…?
  10. Honestly seems like the same as us. I think everyone was over it lol.
  11. Great and balanced view. Well said Mr Hamilton. We have played 3 of the top 4 d coordinators….. ( Kirby is also in that mix). Will see great improvement over the next stretch but gotta be careful it’s not fools gold.
  12. Pathetic! Yet we got a coach who is adamant that no changes need to be made
  13. How are the tigahs handling the royal flip? Just completes the weekend for them too I bet. But while we are ok to be done with it i bet they are salty.
  14. At some point I’d hope CDC would step in and give him an ultimatum if this sloppy ass *hit on offense continues
  15. I really like watching Texas matches (Not so much this year) but in no way consider myself a volleyball expert so why has the team fallen so far this year? Is the talent overrated? Did Elliot forget how to coach? Not that long ago Texas getting swept by a mediocre Oklahoma team would be unheard of now its not even surprising
  16. Sark has the "alpha" mentality that he is the alpha! He also knows if he benches Arch, he's the coach know to bench a Manning or not develop him. That would stay with him forever and in my opinion hinder future QB recruiting.
  17. Like Sark, Elliott is stuck in his ways and is willing to go down with the ship as long as they win or lose that way.
  18. Make sure and go to KSR after the first basketball loss this season.
  19. Reading other forums like texags and tigerdroppings and seeing the doom and gloom there is a nice way to make yourself feel better about the loss. It worked for me anyway.
  20. IF arch returns for his senior year (if he’s smart he should) i really hope sark can drop his pride and hire a coordinator, But i doubt he will.
  21. Mack is the last person I’d ask advice from.
  22. Agree it takes marbles but also not sure what the point is in asking it fresh post game. Not going to get anything.
  23. Feels like something going on , just too much talent to be so mediocre. We know due to trophies it is not the coaching ability. Ability being the key word.
  24. Hope @CJ Vogel never loses em. Standing 10 toes down
  25. Ball should never have been thrown. A QB is never taught to throw the ball going right off balance under duress and late down the field from the hash marks to middle of the field. NEVER. Nothing else matters. It's situational awareness, innate feel for the position. The problem with Arch is he's not progressing. His eyes aren't progressing as a QB right now. For his future, they have to start progressing. Then it comes down to pure feel and instincts for the QB position. That will have to be proven out.
